Responsibilities

• As the successful candidate you will ideally have experience working in an iOS Development team alongside understanding iOS tools.
• In this role you will develop software for mobile products on the iOS Development platform. You’ll continually drive delivery and continuous product improvement. 
• Collaborating with team members to prototype, build, and test high quality apps. 
• Identifying shortcomings in current technology / architecture and recommend solutions. 
• Providing constructive input into architectural decisions for new features.
• Providing technical guidance to other developers. 
• Staying up to date with Google’s and other iOS development technologies, and identify and promote opportunities to make use of these technologies within the mobile team. 

Skills & Expertise

• A passion for working as part of a development team building design led software
• Experience developing robust, high quality software meeting the agreed specifications and complying with RUMEX’s standards and procedures
• Experience in native development for iOS using Swift / Objective C
• Experience in consuming RESTful services, JSON, and HTTP
• The ability to excel in a working environment where you will assist analysts and designers and work closely with quality assurance through the development cycle. 
• The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the development team and the wider organisation
• Hands on exposure to Agile processes and principles 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Prior experience with Firebase push notifications and Android app development will be an added advantage

Education

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
