About this event
Join us for a Q&A information session on funding opportunities for Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Processing manufacturing businesses.
The MMI is the centrepiece of the Australian Government’s Modern Manufacturing Strategy (MMS). The MMI Translation and Integration streams will help businesses to commercialise and scale up great manufacturing ideas, drive collaboration and identify new opportunities to access domestic and global value chains. On 4 March 2021, the Hon Karen Andrews MP, Minister for Industry, Science and Technology launched:
- The Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Processing National Manufacturing Priority road map
- Funding opportunities under the Modern Manufacturing Initiative Translation and Integration streams for projects that align with the Resource Technology and Critical Minerals Processing National Manufacturing Priority area.
Funding opportunities
The MMI is now open providing co-funding for manufacturing projects across two streams:
- Manufacturing Translation stream: this stream helps Australian manufacturers translate high quality research and ideas into commercial outcomes and support businesses to scale-up and become more competitive and resilient.
- Manufacturing Integration stream: this stream helps Australian manufacturers to access domestic and international value chains, propelling their goods and services into new markets and fostering Australia’s reputation as a modern manufacturing leader.
Australian Government funding will be provided on a co-investment basis and will cover up to 50 per cent of eligible project expenditure. The first round of the MMI Translation and Integrations streams is open for the Space, Medical Products and Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Processing National Manufacturing Priority. Funding rounds for the other National Manufacturing Priorities will open in the coming weeks.
This session will be hosted on the Webex platform with details to be provided prior to the event.
