Neetu Kapoor thanks Mukesh, Nita Ambani for being by Rishi Kapoor: You're our guardian angels
Neetu Kapoor penned a long note on Instagram to thank Mukesh Ambani's family for their support during Rishi Kapoor's cancer treatment.
Rishi Kapoor left us on April 30 after a long battle with cancer. While for Rishi's family, this is an unparalleled loss, it is also the time to express gratitude, and thank those who helped and supported them through the crisis. Rishi's wife Neetu Kapoor is doing just that.
Neetu shared a throwback picture of Rishi and herself with Mukesh Ambani and wife Nita Ambani, clicked during the late actor's cancer treatment in New York last year, along with a thank-you note for the Ambani family.
"For us, as a family, the last two years have been a long journey. There were good days, there were a couple of bad days too.. needless to say, it was full of high emotion. But it’s a journey we would not have been been able to complete without the immeasurable love and support of the Ambani family (sic)," Neetu wrote.
The 61-year-old actress added that each and every member of the Ambani family took care of Rishi in the last seven months and ensured he "experienced as little discomfort as possible."
"As we’ve gathered our thoughts over the past few days we’ve also tried to find the words to express the gratitude we feel towards the family for the countless ways in which they have seen us safely through this time. Over the last seven months, every member of the family has gone above and beyond in every way possible to care for our beloved Rishi and ensure he experienced as little discomfort as possible (sic)," Neetu added.
Neetu further mentioned every member of the Ambani family - Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Akash Ambani, Shloka Mehta, Anant Ambani and Isha Ambani - in the post and called them "guardian angels."
"From ensuring he was medically attended to, to making frequent, personal visits to the hospital to shower him with love and attention, to even holding our hand and comforting us when WE were scared. To Mukesh Bhai, Nita Bhabhi, Akash, Shloka, Anant and Isha - you have been our guardian angels on this long and trying experience - what we feel for you can not be measured (sic)," the post reads further.
"We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your selfless, unending support and attention. We feel truly blessed to count you among our nearest and dearest. Sincerely and with utmost gratitude, Neetu, Riddhima, Ranbir and the entire Kapoor Family (sic)," Neetu concluded.
Last year, Mukesh and Nita had paid a friendly visit to Rishi and Neetu in NYC. The four had clicked a bunch of pictures together, and Neetu had shared a few of them on Instagram back then.
"Some people just come to give you Assurance n Mental peace!!! Thank you, Mr and Mrs Ambani, for all the support #love #grateful (sic)," Neetu had written.
Mukesh's younger brother Anil Ambani also visited the Kapoors with his wife Tina Ambani in 2019. Anil was also one of the attendees at Rishi's funeral.
Yesterday, Neetu had thanked the staff of HN Reliance Hospital for taking good care of her husband Rishi in his last days. She penned a long note for the same.
Rishi Kapoor died at the age of 67. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018. The actor is survived by his wife Neetu Kapoor, and children Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni.
