Greensboro, NC—The ABCA has announced their 2021 NCAA Division II All-Region Teams. Michael Krauza has been named to the first team as a relief pitcher while Matthew Gibson was named to the second team as an outfielder.

Krauza continues to receive honors after his dominate season with the Lakers. The St. Bonaventure graduate has now been named to the All-PSAC West First Team, NCBWA All-Region First Team, D2CCA All-Region First Team, and the NCBWA All-American Honorable Mention list. In his lone season with the Lakers he pitched 54 innings while having 71 strikeouts and just four walks. His strikeout to walk ratio was 17.75 to one which was tops among Division II. With that his WHIP was fourth in the nation and second in the region at a .81. He averaged just .67 walks per nine innings which was second in the country and first in the region. His 2.67 ERA was 46th in the nation and second in the PSAC and best among any pitchers that did not start a game in the PSAC.
Matthew Gibson / Senior / New Castle, Pennsylvania
Gibson adds another honor this season after being named to the All-PSAC West Second team. Gibson led the team with a .380 batting average which was eighth in the PSAC. Despite only having 92 at-bats this season Gibson was able to score 32 runs for the Lakers, he also drew a team high 24 walks while also being plunked three times. He also had a team high .521 on base percentage which was second in the PSAC and 19th in the nation. He was able to blast five homers this season while driving 26 runs in. The New Castle native was also first on the team in OPS with a 1.130. He was five of six on stolen bases this season while a .920 fielding percentage as he had 23 putouts in left field.
