Renny Biggins

Renny has been at TISA for 3 years and is the Retirement Policy Manager having previously held the role of Pensions Technical Officer. He has been in the industry for almost 30 years and has held various management and senior management positions at organisations ranging from a large mutual life and pensions company, a bespoke SIPP provider, an IFA and a platform technology provider. Qualifications wise he holds the CII accreditations of Certificate in Life and Pensions, Certificate in Financial Planning and Diploma in Financial Planning.
Richard Butcher
Managing Director, PTL
Richard Butcher joined PTL in 2008, becoming Managing Director in 2010. He has responsibility for a wide and diverse range of clients with a specific focus on governance in both DB and DC pension schemes.
Richard is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) also sitting on the Council. In 2017 he was appointed as Chairman of the PLSA (Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association).
Richard is a sought after speaker on the industry circuit and a regular key contributor to the industry press. He was Highly Commended in the 2010 & 2011 Engaged Investor Independent Trustee of the Year Awards, was named as one of the Top 50 Most Influential People in Pensions in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 by Pensions Insight and as one of the 100 Most Influential People Working in Europe’s Capital Markets in 2014 by Financial News, based on his work with large DC trusts.
Richard is a member of The Pensions Regulator DC Practitioner Panel and the DWP Trustee Panel. He was a founder of the Mastertrust Association and co-Founder of The Association of Member Nominated Trustees.
Colin Clarke
Head of Regulatory Change (Product Development), Legal & General
Colin has worked in the pensions industry for over 30 years and has held a number of senior technical and management roles at Legal & General during this time. He currently provides technical and policy strategy advice to the Workplace DC pensions business, working closely with their IGC and Mastertrust trustee board and represents L&G on a number of government and trade body forums and committees. He is also a member-nominated trustee of L&G’s staff defined benefits scheme.
Imogen Garner
Partner, Norton Rose Fulbright
Imogen Garner is a UK and EU financial services law and regulation lawyer based in London. Imogen focuses her practice advising a broad range of clients on the UK and EU financial services regimes. Her clients are based in the EU and globally.
As head of our buy-side regulatory practice, she has a particular specialist focus on asset and wealth managers, custodians, depositary banks and other service providers to asset managers and funds. Imogen's asset manager clients employ diverse strategies, from UCITS and traditional long-only managers through to hedge, real estate, private equity and infrastructure funds. She has also worked with a number of asset management industry trade bodies, including the Investment Association, AIMA and the BVCA.
Outside of the asset and wealth management sphere, Imogen's financial institutions clients include significant global banking institutions. Imogen has assisted clients with significant regulatory change projects, as well as their on-going interactions with regulators. She advises regularly on the financial services aspects of corporate transactions and on the regulation of securities offerings and fund-raisings.
As well as advising regulated institutions, Imogen has worked within the regulator. She spent nine months seconded to the General Counsel's Division of the Financial Services Authority (the FSA, as it then was), where she advised the FSA's CIS Policy Team and HM Treasury on the EU's Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive.
Imogen is increasingly recognized as an expert in the Fintech, Regtech and cryptocurrencies regulatory space. She is a regular speaker on these topics and co-leads our Fintech regulatory practice in London.
Jon Greer

Jon is an expert in pensions and long term savings policies. He has an in-depth knowledge of pension taxation for both UK and qualifying recognised overseas pension schemes. With 16 years pensions experience in various pension technical roles, he focuses on the taxation and governance of UK registered pension schemes, as well as qualifying recognised overseas pension schemes.
Tim Jablonski

Tim is currently Product Director at EValue, having joined in 2010 as Consultant Actuary. Since then, Tim has worked with some of the UK's largest financial services companies, as well as start-ups, to help them deliver personal and engaging digital advice and guidance. He is currently responsible for the specification and prioritisation of new and existing propositions at EValue, as well as providing key actuarial oversight across the organisation. Tim chairs the “Drawdown Strategies, Modelling Tools and Consumer Communications” Working Party for the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. He has an MA in Philosophy and plays football like someone that used to play football.
Hannah McAslan
Senior Associate, Norton Rose Fulbright
Hannah McAslan is a senior associate in the financial services group. Hannah advises clients on a variety of regulatory matters in both a transactional and advisory context, including compliance with EU and UK legislation, the FCA Handbook and PRA Rulebook.
Hannah has advised several large financial institutions on strategic solutions for Brexit, regulatory implementation projects (including MiFID II, MAR and changes to the client assets regime) and change in control procedures. She has also advised on the development of new products and major outsourcing projects.
She has experience of drafting and negotiating a wide range of financial services agreements and has extensive transactional experience from both a UK and multi-jurisdictional perspective.
Hannah has been seconded to several financial institutions clients since qualifying in 2013.
David Simpson
Head of EMEA, GBST
David Simpson joined GBST as head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa in July 2016. He manages client activity and drives the ongoing regional growth of the group’s retail wealth platforms for wraps, life and pensions and banks, and for institutional capital markets. Previously, he was employed by SEI Investments Company as chief relationship officer for SEI Europe’s Wealth Platform. Prior to joining SEI in 2010 as business development director, he held various roles at Barclays Wealth where he was employed for 22 years, including Managing Director of UK Asset Management and Retail Platforms from 2004 to 2010.
Rachel Vahey

Rachel is a Senior Technical Consultant at AJ Bell. She studies the changing pensions and savings environment, anticipating new developments and lobbying for positive change in current rules. She analyses new legislation and regulations to understand their impact on the industry. She helps financial advisers and planners understand the changing environment, and how it affects them and their clients. Rachel regularly speaks at AJ Bell events, alongside writing articles and commenting for the media.
