Women's Day: PM Modi to give away social media accounts to women

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that to mark the upcoming Women's Day on March 8, the PM will be "giving away" his social media accounts to women whose life and work inspire us. On Monday, the PM had tweeted that he is thinking of giving up his social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that to mark the upcoming Women's Day on March 8, he will be "giving away" his social media accounts to women whose life and work inspire us.
The decision came a day after he tweeted his desire to give up his social media accounts.
The Prime Minister also urged the online community to share inspiring stories of women, under the hashtag "#SheInspireUs", who then can become a part of this campaign.
The selected entries will be given a chance to "take over" PM Modi's Twitter account.

"This Women's Day, I will give away my social media accounts to women whose life & work inspire us. This will help them ignite motivation in million. Are you such a woman or do you know such inspiring women? Share such stories using #SheInspiresUs," he tweeted.
His tweet puts a stop to all speculation following his post on Monday that he was thinking of quitting his social media accounts.
On Monday, the PM had tweeted that he is thinking of giving up his social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
