<div>Visiting battlefields from any conflict is both a fascinating and moving experience. Soldiers who fought those wars left behind a legacy; their name on a war memorial, an experience passed down to the family or a faded photograph in a frame. <br><br>The generation that was my age during the war has now passed away. The people who were young then are now old. Even though we usually no longer know the stories directly from the eyewitnesses, we must continue to tell the stories. The stories about loss and betrayal, about hunger and sadness, about fear, powerlessness and resistance must continue to be shared. <br><br>Freedom is fragile and never self-evident, that is the lesson the Second World War teaches us. With our Blog page we want to continue to tell the stories, with live streams, videos, interesting posts, archive footage and photos.
