 Dear <<First Name>>,

At the risk of adding yet another email to your inbox about COVID-19, we did want to share our thoughts about Little Free Library presence in communities here in the U.S. and around the globe.

First and foremost, your health and the health of those who visit your library is paramount. We encourage you to follow the directions of the health experts such as the CDC and state and local public health authorities. They are best positioned with the latest information for guidance on what to do and what to avoid in your community.

When it comes to how you interact with your Little Free Library or that of others, we defer to your judgment and what is going on locally. If you are sick, stay away from your Little Free Library and don’t share books. If that is not the case, then the approach is up to you. We have suggested some best practices we hope you'll find helpful, such as using hand sanitizer and regularly cleaning your library and the books inside. Many stewards are keeping their Little Free Libraries open to boost community morale.

But if you wish to take a break, that is fine too. It is all your choice.

Here at the Little Free Library nonprofit we are still busy working away at expanding the world’s largest network for sharing books. We have a limited staff in the office, but our fulfillment team is still able to process orders and ship products. Spring is right around the corner, and we want you to have what you need to spruce up your library or introduce a new Little Free Library to your community. Rest assured that all staff who can work from home are doing so.

For the time being, the best way to connect with us is through the contact form on our website. We're here to help however we can. If you're not a member of Little Free Library's Facebook group for registered stewards, now may be a good time to join. There you'll find support and advice from thousands of your fellow stewards worldwide.

On a more positive front, we continue to press forward with our programs. As you may have heard, we installed our 100,000th Little Free Library last week. In recognition of that milestone, we will be granting 100 organizations that serve children a Little Free Library full of books. We are accepting online applications through April 11 as we continue our work to create equitable book access.

As always, thank you for your support.
