My favorite directors who inspired me to want to be a writer-director (Bunuel, Bergman etc..) all told stories in non- linear out of the box style. Coming from a music background and not a literary one this kind of storytelling fits like a glove because with writing songs in music we would take a simple melody or guitar riff or bass line and figure out how to build on that and create something cool that felt right. WD has given me the toolkit to use those same concepts from the music world and apply it to screenwriting. Bravo!!

Of course I looked at different ways of approaching story and bringing more depth to mine but I never heard anything that gave a such a succinct and actionable approach from the get go -to a richer story. After a few lessons I was already rearranging my thoughts on how I'm approaching my latest story - I'm much clearer now about what aspects of the story my lead characters will deliver.
