O'Fallon, Ill. – The Western Water Polo Association announced its' All-Tournament team on Sunday afternoon, with Fresno Pacific women's water polo team members
Katie Kisling and
Amy Zaninovich being named to the First Team, while
Rosemary Chapman earned Second Team honors.
"All three of these student-athletes left everything in the water," head coach
Bryan Suhovy said. "They played consistent and hard both days. They lead the team in stats and never once slowed down. I couldn't be happier than I am with Katie, Amy and Rose. They deserve the recognition."
Kisling entered the tournament after being named to the All-WWPA First Team last Thursday. Kisling was efficient in the team's opening round match against Salem. She finished with four points, scoring two goals while handing out two assists against the Tigers. The senior from Newberg, Ore. was stout defensively, adding three steals. She added a goal in the semifinal match against Mercyhurst to finish the weekend with three goals and two assists.
Zaninvoch, an All-WWPA Second Team member, found the back of the net twice against the Tigers. She added two steals on the defensive end. The Fresno, Calif. native put up two goals and two steals against the Lakers on Sunday morning. She wrapped up the weekend with four goals and four steals in two matches.
Chapman has added to her recognition as a member of both the All-WWPA Second Team and the All-Freshman Team. She was a defensive standout for the Sunbirds against the Tigers, racking up three steals during the match. Chapman's offense shined in the semifinals, as she scored goal for the Sunbirds.
