In latest horror story from Balochistan, Pakistani troops abduct women, children

A fresh picture of Pakistan atrocities on Balochistan emerged on Monday as reports of women and children protesting in Baluchistan surfaced.

A fresh picture of Pakistan atrocities on Balochistan emerged on Monday as reports of women and children protesting in Baluchistan surfaced. The story of Balochistan people being harassed by the Pakistan army is not new however. The atrocities over the past month have increased. Where earlier, the army used to raid and search houses and terrorise the public through their atrocities, a woman activist has claimed that for some time now, they have also started abducting the women and the children. She added that the media there does not do anything, reported Times Now.

The woman activist, while talking to the channel said that a while back, some women were taken away by Pakistani troops and a month later were released. She said one of the woman was also killed on the 28th of last month. She also said that the wherebouts of the abducted women and children are not known. She also slammed the country’s media and said that media persons know about the atrocities but they don’t do anything about it.

Stories of Pakistan’s brutality had also emerged earlier in the year when Pakistan army had conducted a military operation in Goburt area of Mand Balochistan on the 17th of October. In a statement issued by Baloch Republican Party spokesperson Sher Mohamad Bugti, the party had said that military had crossed all the limits as Pakistanis had burnt the houses of the civilians and had “dragged the women out of their homes”.

The issue of Balochistan was first raised by PM Narendra Modi in his Independence day speech when he had thanked the Baloch people for showing their respect for him. Since the speech, the Baloch people around the world have protested against the killings by Pakistan and have hailed Modi for his support to them.
