The Greene Family #8

My Fake Fiance

Rate this book
I never felt truly desired by a man—until him.

The second he stepped foot into my small town Alaskan inn, his gaze swept over my curvy figure with desire, igniting a flame I thought was dead. He flirted with me, and I might’ve left two chocolates on his pillow at turndown, but that’s where it stayed.

Over the years, he’s floated in and out of town while a friendship developed between us. It’s probably for the best because I’m not a one-night stand kind of woman.

Which is funny because when he propositions me to be his fake fiancée in order to end a family feud, it turns out I am the kind of woman willing to pretend to be the one he’s in love with.

We have been skirting around Mandi and Noah's story for a while now, and the burning question I had was would the people pleaser go through with a fake wedding to please someone or break things off because she deserves better than that. Well for that answer you'll have to read the book but what I will say is that there are a lot of sexy times, some tears, and a ton of revelations.

Mandi is such a relatable character she is down to earth, takes care of her family and friends before herself, has a generous figure some would consider plus size but I like to refer to as curvy, and she's a bit on the shy side. But when she meets Noah there is just something about him that brings her out of her shell and I love them together.

Noah has some family drama going on and it makes things rather interesting. I love his grandmother, and her two friends one being Mandi's step-grandma. The three women always keep the younger ones on their toes when they're around.

If you enjoy Steamy New Adult Romances, Fake Relationship Romances, Small Town Romances, or Large Family Romances I would recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!

noah has been in alaska for short bursts in the past three years and the attraction between mandi and him never went away. since mandi is an innkeeper and a homebody while noah’s photography career brings him all over the globe, they know that nothing will ever come true for the two of them if they were to be together. however, a lie brought them closer than they wanted and they soon fall in love. to make things better between his grandmother and his father, noah lied that he’s engaged to mandi. even though the both of them swore that they won’t be married in this lifetime, the two of them have to continue on this lie.

overall, i enjoyed their romance even when i think it’s a pretty quick fake engagement. the characters talked through the logistics of the marriage since mandi will be staying in alaska running her inn while noah has gigs away from alaska. but even the final conflict didn’t drag on for long, so i still enjoyed myself.

My Fake Fiancé is book eight in The Greene Family series. It can be read as a standalone, but the series is such a fun series to read I would suggest reading them all. Included at the beginning of the book are the ages of the Greene kids, which is helpful to see. This one is Mandi and Noah's story. They start out as friends, but feelings get mixed in when they pretend to be engaged. These two make a great couple, but their story has some bumps in the road. I liked them together and loved the meddling grandmas.

I have to choose me.

This is the story of Noah and Mandi and that cover is what reeled me in. It was cute. I love fake dating/marriage of convenience stories but this one fell short. It felt like they were lying to themselves more than anything/anyone and that took all the fun out of it. No one bought it. Like no one. Also the drama behind the fake wedding was so dumb. But it wasn’t bad. I read the whole thing.

Like I said, it was cute. Just not enough meat in the story. This might be because it’s the first book in the series I read and it’s book 8. But as a stand alone there was a lot of her siblings in the story and their lives. It was too much family drama and not enough Noah and Mandi.

And don’t get me started on that ending. The whole I have to choose me. Mandi has not once, except this one time, put her self first. It was so frustrating to read how everyone walked all over her. How no one listened to her and changed her own wedding plans because they wanted something else.

I am not sure what I was expecting when I started this one but I was so pleasantly surprised by Mandi and Noah. I was really looking forward to them because I feel like we have been getting glimpses of them for so long but we knew nothing about them. So I was excited to learn about them and they didn't disappoint. I loved how opposite they were in everything yet so supportive and willing to learn about the other's interests and even jump into the thick of it. And of course it wouldn't be a Greene novel without the grandma's getting up to their hijinks. Another great book in this series. I am excited for the next one but sad that it is almost over.

Positive thoughts:
- I love a fake relationship romance, and this book had just that. Although they were together not faking it much most of the time, so the doubt and insecurity, that's normal in a fake relationship, wasn't there.
- I also love a book with a curvy girl. I love how our MMC gave her the confidence she needed and thought she was beautiful

Negative Thoughts:
- I'll have to be honest, I went blind into this book. I just read Fake Fiance and was sold. So I had no idea how much spice it had, if any. I'm not much of a spice reader, so there were a lot of parts I skipped.
- There was a lot of chemistry, but it was a bit off. I couldn't place it, but it jumped at me out of no-where, I though it wasn't well blended with the POV's thoughts.

Overall:
- This is a small town spicy romance, fake relationship trope, that will keep the pages turning.
- Focuses on an independent woman and a photographer who forget they need to compromise to be happy.

Romance: 2/5
Chemistry: 4/5
Spice: 4/5
1st kiss: -+50 in
Foul Language: 2/5
Humour: 2/5
Drama: 1/5

Tropes:
- MMC photographer
- MFC Inn owner
- Curvy girl
- Fake relationship
- Small town
- Meddling family

Review: I feel like of all the Greene siblings, I’ve barely paid attention to Mandi before. Not for anything else but the fact that in the previous seven books, I can’t remember her making too big of an appearance. So it was great to see her in this one and to fully see her for who she is—caring, generous and selfless. And I was definitely happy to see that Mandi was a fat heroine, because we always need more fat women doing awesome things and finding love along the way.

In My Fake Fiancé, you’ll find:
✨ a fake relationship, duh
✨ strangers to lovers
✨ big family dynamics and shenanigans
✨ the infamous Northern Lights Retirement Home
✨ a gorgeous, fat and kind innkeeper
✨ a long haired, sexy Viking nature photographer
✨ great steam—in the wilderness and use of a sex toy

While not my favourite of the series (like I hoped it would be), I loved the way the story started with a time jump to when Mandi and Noah meet. If you’ve read My Scorned Best Friend , then you already know what happens with these two to a certain extent. But to actually see how that bond and that relationship was built was pretty great. I liked the friendship they formed, the way they got to know each other. I definitely liked the connection Noah has to the Old Biddies at the retirement home, because that definitely added a layer of fun to the story.

Almost all fake relationships have a mutual benefit and I liked the reasons behind Noah wanting a fake fianceé, which made me love him a little more. As always, the fun and hijinks thanks to the Greene family and the Old Biddies is such a good time. Every book in the series, I look forward to the scene where the couple is invited to the retirement home and something wild and inappropriate happens, because those women are just so meddling and so hilarious, it’s impossible to not love them.

“Truth?” he asks.
“Yeah.”
“I think I fell in love with you the first time I saw you.”
I cup his bearded cheek. “Me too.”

This book is also hella steamy, maybe even steamier than the previous one? The sexual tension between Mandi and Noah has been building since they met (three years ago!) and it’s only getting stronger with the time they spend together. So obviously when they finally cave, everything gets really wild and hot and fantastic. As a nature photographer for National Geographic, Noah has to go out into the wilderness for some of his photography and Mandi goes with him once and let’s just say that Mother Nature got more than she was asking for.

And that little tease we got for Chevelle and Cam has me really excited to see what happens in their book!

Mandi is my favorite female Greene, I have been dying for her book for what seems like forever and it did not disappoint! Who doesn't love a fake romance that turns into a real one?

Mandi and Noah have been fighting the attraction to one another for years. Finally, when something life-altering happens to Noah, he makes a story up that he and Mandi are getting married. Mandi is never one to lie, but she always tries to help people so she decides to go along with it. As time goes on their feelings start to shift from more than friends. But what will be the results of all of their lies?

This was such a good book! Every time I think that Piper Rayne can't top the book before it, they prove me wrong and do it. Every story just gets better and better and makes me realize why I not only love their books but their stories make me feel like I actually know these characters personally! While this is a series, it could probably be read independently with some spoilers from the other stories. I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series.

Mandi and Noah's story has a perfect story line and intriguing plot because they have known of each other for a few years and their relationship is developed from an innkeeper and a customer to friends and finally ends up as a couple.

I love love love this book and the Greene family series. Mandi and Noah's story is the best fake fiance I've ever read! And da**, this book is the most emotional romantic comedy I've ever read either. Sorry for my messy review because I'm still hanging over even after I finish reading the book for a few hours now.

I have to confess that both fake relationship and rom com are not my things but Piper Rayne are a few authors in the world that I would dive into their book even if it is my less favorite trope because I've never been disappointed in their books after being their fan for so long... maybe forever.

Mandi's the reliable people pleaser in her small town. So when her friend Noah suggests a marriage of convenience, of course she says yes. But we all know that fake relationships are bound to become real when the people involved already have feelings for each other. The question is, will Noah allow love into his heart? He doesn't do love or relationships, and his job as a nature photographer definitely is not conducive to a serious, long-term relationship. So how can this marriage of convenience possibly turn real?

Noah needs a wife. Who better to ask than his friend Mandi? But perhaps he should have known better than to ask this beautiful, curvaceous friend because though they're friends, he already knows he has more than friendly feelings for her. But he'd never take advantage of those feelings because he can't offer her the love he knows she deserves, she wants. Unless he's wrong and he's already in love with her...

I love this small Alaskan town and all the residents who fall in love. Mandi's always been just I don't know, the pleasant one throughout the series, but here in her own story she's much more than that - yes, sweet, but also strong, and unafraid to do what she wants. Noah is absolutely perfect for her, with his own sweet personality, and obvious strong connection he shares with her. Their chemistry is beyond hot, the usual suspects (the grandmas!) are around wreaking havoc and "helping" and along the way Mandi and Noah finally take their relationship beyond just friendship.

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

I've said it before, and I believe I will keep saying it with each book I read by Piper Rayne - I absolutely, 100% love this book. Maybe even more than the others, but it's so hard to pick because I love each and every Greene I have come to know through their stories.

Mandi is an amazing person. She is a people pleaser, always trying to find a way to do everything she can to make life better for the people around her. But that means she usually doesn't get what she really wants. I loved seeing her on vacation in Hawaii and she finally did something for herself instead of let her family dictate what she was going to do - and this book of her own story did not disappoint! You don't see Mandi lose her cool often, but I actually enjoy seeing her let her true feelings out, because that makes her so human and so real to me.

Noah is so dreamy. I love how he falls for Mandi even though they don't see each other often. You can feel the chemistry between the two and I love how he makes Mandi feel feminine and beautiful - all the things she is, but doesn't really feel or acknowledges until Noah is around. I love how he's really sweet, and lets the Greene family kinda steamroll him into taking photos he's not used to, but also starting to really determine how he wants to spend the rest of his life.

Mandi and Noah are so good for each other and really make them question how they want their future to be. This was an amazing novel, full of laughs, tears, spicy and tender scenes that made me feel full to the brim of emotions! I'm so so glad I got the chance to read this novel and, of course, I'm already waiting for the next book - especially with those ending sentences!!!

Mandi is worried she is going to lose her beloved SunBay Inn if she can't drum up more customers. Noah has been a steady customer for three years and even though they both know there is chemistry, they friend zoned each other. What Mandi doesn't know is that Noah' s family is in Sunrise Bay and when he finds out his Grandmother is sick, he comes up with a plan to close the rift in his family that has put him in the middle for years. He plans to help Mandi with her business in turn Mandi becomes his fake fiancé. They underestimated their family though who goes full force to plan a wedding. What happens when feelings come involved though?

This was fun, I enjoyed the family dynamics. A slow burn romance that keeps you guessing.

Mandi and Noah find love and their HEA in book #8 of the Greene Family. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. It can be read as a standalone, but readers will find enjoyment reading the series as they get to know the Greene family and their history leading up to this point.
The book begins in the present, then flashes back through a series of moments over the past three years so readers can see how Mandi and Noah became friends and then became engaged. When it picks back up in the present, things really get interesting. I love the fake relationship/marriage of convenience trope, and this was very well done.
I love the friendship between Noah and Mandi. I love the heat and passion they share. I adore Mandi’s confidence and how much Noah loves her and everything about her. They have some moments on the way to the altar. Family members and crazy grandma’s weigh in with their opinions. This was a thoroughly enjoyable read that was exactly what I needed.

I really enjoyed My Fake Fiance by Piper Rayne.

Mani and Noah's story is a beautifully written, slow burn friends to lovers read.
From their first meeting I was eager to see how their story would unfold.

Mandi and Noah start off as friends, with time and sharing their feelings and desires they find the attraction that has been building between them is hard to ignore. The more time they spent together the more their feelings grow. Then add a fake marriage, meddling grandmothers and siblings that somehow end up in your business helps make this into a very enjoyable and entertaining read.

My Fake Fiance is a great addition to the Greene Family series, each siblings love story has touched my heart and I highly recommend them all.

Mandi and Noah became my favorite couple after reading this book. They were just so cute together and had both such sweet characters. I already liked Mandi in the previous books but she made a fantastic heroine in her own book. She was sweet, caring, reasonable and had the biggest heart. Noah was sexy, adventurous and so swooning. It took some time for him to come to his senses, but he made up for it. There was not enough grandma scheming in this book, that’s the only lack this book has. Mandi and Noah had great chemistry and the fake fiancé trope was done well. I hoped for a certain outcome and I was glad it did! It was the only way I knew it could work out in the end. Loved this book, the main couple, baby Noah, the Greene’s, the grandma’s and the small town romance

***Safety spoilers👇🏻***
Safe. No cheating, OW/OM drama or sex with OP. Not much about their history besides both not virgins. They’ve known each other for 3 years, no mention of others in this time. There are chapters telling their story since they met, from both perspectives, and neither told something about others. So I believe both celibate after meeting.

My Fake Fiancé was the eighth book in the Greene Family series by the authors Piper Rayne. Although not completely necessary, the series is best read in order.

I’ve taken a hiatus from formal reviews for awhile so a couple quick thoughts: I enjoyed both Noah and Mandi - and of course the entire Greene clan. The authors used their expected humor and nosy relatives to enhance the enjoyment and the storyline. They also set the stage for the next book for the long awaited Cam and Chevelle. All in all, it was another fun addition to the series.

I love my visits to Sunrise Bay, Alaska and this time it’s Mandi Greene and Noah Winters chance at love. No one writes small town romances like Piper Rayne and with every book I pick up I feel like I’m transported to a small town I have come to think of as home and I’m catching up with residents who feel like my own family. My Fake Fiancé was everything I expected and so much more, from the first page I was home and there was no putting down until I had read the final line.
From the moment Noah arrived as a late night guest in Mandi’s Inn a connection was made, the attraction was instant and a bond was formed but this is a couple who want different things, he loves to travel and she can’t see past her life in Sunrise Bay. But when Noah sees a way to mend his family feud and help Mandi in the process he asks her to become his fake fiancé….. so what does the future hold and will they meet somewhere in the middle once lines are crossed. One click to find out.
I fell hard and fast for Noah and I adored Mandi but like all the previous books it was the visits from the grandmas and their shenanigans that left me smiling like a Cheshire Cat. I smiled, I swooned and I laughed out loud but I also held my breath as I cheered Noah and Mandi on. A wonderful addition to a wonderful series.

This book was an okay read for me. I've read other books from Piper Rayne and I loved them. Sadly in this one, I couldn't connect with neither Mandi and Noah and it wasn't working for me.

Of course every person is different and has a different taste in books. Just because the book wasn't working for me it doesn't mean that other people wouldn't like it.

I've been anxious to see how Mandi and Noah's story was going to progress. Mandi has always been the caretaker of the family and puts everyone before herself. Noah has some family drama that has been happening for years that leads to a very interesting situation for him and Mandi.

I loved watching these two on their journey from strangers, to friends, to finding their happily ever after with each other. Just like with all the other grandkids, the grandmas can't help but to get involved. The hijinks they get into are hilarious like always and I love watching them help their grandchildren get their happily ever afters.

I love this series so much and I don't ever want it to end. I have enjoyed every story about the Greene Family.

Get a Fake Fiancée to fix family problems, so what can possibly go wrong??! He's a photographer and never home. She's an innkeeper owner.

Chemistry was great, but both were stubborn in changing their lives til the end of the book. 🙄 it's a 3.75 rating.

At the start, you get a flashback to where it all began between Mandi and Noah, and to really understand the story, it is necessary, but I felt so weird going back in time like that. I had some problems getting into the book because of it. A little later on when I was used to it, it just got better and better though so I'm happy they brought the past into it so we learn more about where it all started.
It was a great book, a fast and easy read and as always had a little teaser of the next book which makes me greedy for it. I loved the story and especially the relationship between Noah and Mandi. She's a curvy heroine and he worships the ground she walks on and it was so great to read that. Noah is just a big cuddly teddybear I want for myself.
I definitely recommend this book!

This was a cute romance that will grab your attention right at the beginning. This is part of the Greene family Series and is Mandi and Noah's story. If you've read any of the previous books you'll remember them. Mandi has inherited her grandmother's home and runs an inn. Noah is one of her guests and they have a slow burn romance for years. She's a 'curvy' girl and he's the first to make her feel special.More drama and angst as they examine whom 'they really are' What about the fake engagement? The story line is captivating and the characters are enjoyable. I read as a free book via Grey's Promotions and voluntarily chose to review it.

My Fake Fiance is Mandi Greene’s story and what a wonderfully entertaining one it is!
Mandi is the caretaker of the family, always doing something for someone in her life! She also has a business to take care of! When will the day come where she is looked after?
I love the antics that go on in Sunrise Bay Alaska! So very much! I love the tongue in cheek way everyone seems to be!
Noah is quite the charmer but a bit of a loner, being a travelling photographer!
When he meets Mandi, needless to say he may be thinking differently!
These two are literal fire! When Noah suggests Mandi pretend to be his fiancé to help his family, things certainly get rather interesting and heated! If you get my drift!
I think this book is an outstanding addition to the Greene Family series and Im excited for more stories to come! Loved it! Felt like being home!

My Fake Fiancé is another fantastic installment in the Greene family series. If you are a fan of fake engagements, small town families, and lots of steam, this book is the romance for you.

4.5/5 stars

Mandi is the responsible one in her family. She owns the local inn, and meets nature photographer Noah when he checks in. They are immediately attracted to each other, but Noah is constantly traveling and Mandi is looking for a relationship. They settle for an ongoing friendship, until Noah realizes that if he gets married, there is a chance of bridging the divide between his dad and his grandmother. So he offers Mandi a deal: if she agrees to be his fake fiancé, he’ll help her with marketing for the struggling inn. Sure, just as friends, no feelings, no problem, right? Wrong.

The beginning of the book catches the reader up on Mandi and Noah’s interactions over the years. Not only is it a great way to see previous scenes from their perspectives, it makes it easy to read this book as a stand alone. I liked the way Noah keeps Mandi from underestimating herself, and points out her best qualities when she is inclined to overlook them. And, this couple is super hot too, with steamy chemistry that sizzles on the page. I honestly didn’t know what to expect from these two characters, and I was surprised at just how much I enjoyed their romance.

The grandmas are back, too, and it’s always a treat to see Ethel, Dori, and Midge in action. It’s hilarious that once again everyone knows what they are up to, but no one can stop them from matchmaking.

My Fake Fiancé was a fake engagement treat. The story was fun and the characters were engaging. Now, I’m just counting the days until we get Cam and Chevelle’s brother’s best friend romance that I’ve been waiting for!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It's now Mandi Greene's turn to find love and Piper Rayne gave her an adventurous road. Noah and Mandi's fake engagement romance was full on fun, flirt and steam. The whole Greene family was involved in the shenanigans and everyone knows how I cannot get enough of them.

When wildlife photographer Noah Winters arrived as a late night guest in Mandi's cozy inn, they feel an instant connection. But it cannot go anywhere. Because Noah travels all around the world for his profession and Mandi's life is in Alaska. But when Noah asks her a favor and offers to help uplifting her inn's branding..she says yes. Yes to a fake engagement and fake marriage. But are they in this plan together just to bring Noah's family together and her business?

I loved the lazy flow of this story. Mandi and Noah were working overtime to convince everyone that this sudden engagement is not suspicious. They find a great friendship in the process. I always enjoy when characters have time to know each other intimately and slowly and when friendship is their foundation. Mandi has always been the caretaker, the responsible, the planner and the reality believer but she always wanted true love too. At first, Noah's proposal didn't seem like the chance of a lifetime. But this man won her heart. He is sexy as hell but his heart is even more sexy. He is an all round book boyfriend. He was confused about his feelings as his early family life was not pretty and his life is all over the place. But gradually he realised that it doesn't matter where he works if Mandi isn't with him. It was slow burn and then the dam broke. I loved how the whole Team Greene was involved in this and Noah had a connection as he is Midge's grandson! I am so excited for Chevelle's story now!!

We have been sneaking peaks of Noah and Mandi's story over the last few books. This book was just as fun to read as the others but it touches on some things that are hard for some to believe but many know to be true. The insecurities of a curvy bigger woman are real and difficult.

Since things went down with her parents divorce, Mandi has stepped in as the helper of all things. True to her personality she hasn't stopped helping everyone out and being what everyone needs when they are looking for help. So is it surprising that she decided to take on helping Noah when he puts the cart before the horse? She realzied long ago she was a Sunset Bay lifer and tied herself to the town with owning and running the Inn.

Noah is a single child who has spent too many years as the middle man between his parents and his grandmother. This free spirited photographer spends most of his time running the roads and taking pictures. So much so that he as rented out his home and spends his time in town at the Inn. Which might have something to do with the beauty that owns the place. But he doesn't have the time or want for a relationship. He does feel a draw to Mandi though and before he knows it he is a regular at the Inn.

Can they pull off this secret? Will the town lifer and the world traveller find love and a home in small town Alaska?

I love how the authors use their witty banter to grow these wonderful couples. I love that Noah worked so hard to try and help Mandi see herself through his eyes. How Noah's veiws and feelings made Mandi more of a confident woman in the end. The pulling together of the families and all the Greene love spreading wings some more.

“I want to kiss these lips whenever I want. I want you to be mine to touch whenever the mood strikes. I want to know you’re mine to be inside of every night.”

Review: My Fake Fiancé by Piper Rayne. The Greene Family book 8.
🏕
Truth? I’m in love, better, obsessed with Mandi Greene and Noah Winters story. It was everything I didn’t know I needed. Another two truths? This might be my favorite book from Piper Rayne and Mandi is definitely my favorite heroine they wrote. A total, a 100%, must read!

From the moment Mandi’s parents divorced, she was her moms rock and would do anything for her and her siblings. At the point of sometimes forget what she really need. Enter the mysterious, wildlife photographer, Noah. He starts as a guest in her Inn, and little by little they form a great bond. But he also has his shares of issues, and to solve the biggest he asks Mandi to marry him and in return he helps her improve the Inn.

She has a good amount of body self confident issues, but Noah has none of that, he worships her body and mind. He proves that to her in more ways than one and oh my that camping scene, it was so hot! They were so opposites in lifestyle, however their relationship was so much more deep and emotional, than the physical one. Their support, caring and love for each other lives is why sold me to this story.

Mandi was obviously the star of this book, her growth during it and then her realization that her dreams and wishes matter, not only with Noah but with her family as well, had my heart beating faster. I love a strong lady, one we can be inspire of. There was a lot of cameos of the Greene family and the grandmas, but I’m glad that Hank, her stepdad, had an important role in this book, it made my heart warm.

✨ PRINCEMAN REVIEW ✨

❔ Trope Question! Would you put Fake Dating and Fake Fiancé in the same category?

📝: Mandi has never felt the "spark" until Noah checked 🛎 into her inn during the middle of the night. National Geographic 📷 photographer, Noah, is instantly attracted to Mandi, yet he will never put a woman in the situation of being with someone who travels 24/7. Years of flirty friendship pass. Until, Noah propositions Mandi to be his fake fiancé 💍 to end a family feud.

What I 🤍:
💍 Fake Engagement Trope
🧶 Tight-Knit Alaskan Town
😍 Long Term Pining
🏕 Camping Scene
👵 👵👵 Meddling Grandmas

This book felt like a warm hug. I enjoyed the small town Alaskan setting, and the community where they lived. It makes me want to visit! As always with this series, my favorite characters were the three meddling grandmas who have their noses in everyone's business. 😂 Also, warning!!!🚨The cutest date scene EVER happens in this book! 💦

Prince's Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Steaminess: 🔥🔥🔥
Read If ➡️: You love books with long term pining, or a fake engagement

I really appreciated how you DO NOT have to read the other books in the series to enjoy this one. On my instagram page, I put together a "READ THIS IF YOU LIKED..."

🌟 My Fake Fiancé by Piper Rayne comes out Aug. 23! 🌟
