"I am always going to be yours."
"She was amazing. Vicious and strong and beautiful."Told in multiple POV, Essence of Fear is full of action, suspense, and passion that will light your Kindle on fire. I have always been a fan of Bethany-Kris and yet somehow, this series has earned a special place on my shelf of goodness. The family dynamics in this series are unique and the complexities throughout the plots will keep you addicted to every turn of the page. The trauma that both Pavel and Viktoria experienced and overcame truly made them unforgettable and the way in which they fiercely protected each other was truly beautiful. In addition to my love for this beautiful couple, I adore the family dynamics between the siblings and their absolute loyalty to each other. As always, the passion between the main characters is off the chart and the non-stop action kept me on the edge of my seat the entire read!
"She was his heroin, and the needle was right in his fucking heart."Overall, Essence of Fear will appeal to readers who enjoy action, suspense, and good old fashioned mafia romance. Bethany-Kris never fails to craft a thrilling story with a complete commitment to her characters and the world in which they live. When it comes to the Boykov world, it is one that I could stay in forever!
She didn’t even think about it before she crossed the room, reached up to catch his face in her palms, and then she pulled him in for a kiss. He didn’t hesitate to answer her back—his lips worked hard against hers while he took her breath away all at the same time.
Yeah, he was still figuring things out.
About the world.
About life.
About himself.
But her?
Them?
She didn’t ever want him to wonder.
Never.
Viktoria pulled away from the kiss, but still stayed close enough that their lips grazed as she spoke. “You don’t have to ask anyone anything—I am always going to be yours. And you’re mine. I decided.”
Pav smirked. “That’s how it is, then?”
“That’s how it is.”
“I like that.”
She winked. “You better.”
