Browse and Buy Artwork from Over 35 Artists!
Artists Sunday encourages consumers to shop with artists and give something special, unique, and hand-crafted this holiday season.
Many artists in the region rely on sales stemming from annual events and festivals. With recurring events like the Hill District Flea Market and annual festivals such as the Erie Blues & Jazz Festival and CelebrateErie cancelled this past summer, Erie Arts & Culture felt it was imperative that we find a way to assist artists leading into the holiday season. To support artists this holiday season, Erie Arts & Culture recruited artists from the Northwestern Pennsylvania Artist Association (NPAA), the CHROMA Guild, and art students from regional universities who have work available for purchase. The work has been compiled into a virtual sale, with sales opening on Sunday, November 29.
Please, support the artists living and working in our community by purchasing their work. When browsing the work available for sale, you have two options for making a purchase.
1.) Email [email protected] and indicate what piece, or pieces, you are interested in purchasing. Once your purchases are confirmed, you will be able to pay by check.
2.) Check out using our donation form. Be certain to include the numbers that correlate with the work you are interested in buying, as well as the total sales price of all items you are purchasing.
Erie Arts & Culture is not taking a commission on any of the sales; the full sales amount benefits the artist responsible for the work. Any work that doesn’t sell during Artist Sunday will be showcased again on December 5th as part of Erie Arts & Culture’s End of Year Variety Show and Telethon.

Illustrator and Printmaker
Accepting commissions for the holidays
My artwork highlights my appreciation for nature through detailed imagery and educational pieces, which highlight various environmental issues such as wildfires and supporting local ecosystems. This subject matter is translated into painted illustrations and screen prints. Creating educational pieces allows me to share my love for learning as well as give viewers the opportunity to share the information with others. I am currently unavailable for commissions; however, there is a variety of gifts available on my online shop. There are also commission listings on the shop to scroll through to see what is typically offered. To anyone interested in commissions after the holidays, they can send their information to [email protected].
Michelle L. Ghisson
Artist, Painter, Professor
I have two bodies of work. I create large abstract paintings, usually with some type of mixed media and I also have a large body landscape paintings. I would love to take on several additional commissions for this holiday season. I currently have openings for 3 paintings.
Zofia Chrzanowsk
Painting, Ceramics, and Printmaking
I am primarily a figurative artist, mainly sourcing from observation- be it live models, friends, old family pictures, etc. I like to work in a variety of media- each process lending itself to a different tone and purpose. My prints tend to focus on the nostalgia of personal relationships, my drawings on the simple beauty of the human form, and my ceramics as treating figurative elements as decorative form and pattern. I am also an avid collector of sketches, feelings, and gestures, which I compile into little books every few months- I have a few self-published collections on my etsy! Not this holiday season, but I usually do commissions throughout the year!
Kat Charnley
Printmaking
I am a second-year printmaker at Edinboro University who specializes in intaglio and lithography printmaking. My work focuses on the duality of being a human and the struggle to satisfy social norms whilst also embracing our natural origins.
Erikka Spaid
Painter
Accepting Commissions for the holidays
I work in oil paint and I use a variety of tools and brushes to accomplish my goals. I create work about personal experiences and I use the landscape as a tool to create environments for my viewers to experience. I will be accepting commissions this season. My main works are about the landscape and abstraction, however, I can fulfill most requests.
Kaitlyn Principe
Digital Artist
Accepting commissions for the holiday season
I currently work in digital art concepts and logo designs. Working within the discipline for the past 10 years. Most of my work is based on character creation. I truly try to capture the same amount of joy that people have when they articulate their ideas. I aim to bring them alive in the very manner in which they speak about it. I try to work closely with my client to get the best results possible. I am accepting commissions this holiday season!
Jacob Maitland
Ceramics
I make functional ceramics to accommodate social interactions. My pieces are for sharing experiences like a conversation over a cup of coffee or a shot of whiskey. Through the use of pleasing curves and a variety of colors and textures on the surface, I make pieces that are both physically and visually satisfying. I fire all of my work in atmospheric soda or wood ire kilns. Ash gets deposited onto the surface of the pots and creates grey, blue, green, and brown textures. The sections that are protected form the soda ash create bright oranges, yellows, and reds from the flame which is called flashing. Everything I make is completely food safe and fired to temperatures of 2300 degrees. I enjoy the challenge the clay gives me, and always try to make pots that are better than the last.
Kayla Simonitis
Painter
Accepting commissions for the holiday season!
I am a traditional artist, I mostly paint but I also draw here and there. In my paintings, I try my best to evoke a feeling of peace and calm from the audience. I strive to accomplish this through my use of color and it's vibrancy. A common subject matter of mine is landscapes and seascapes, along with the human form. I want to express the true beauty of nature through my work. The power of art in healing is important, and I believe that art is a great way for anyone to relax their mind, either by looking at it or creating it.
