Kayla has been married for 19 yrs. She was shocked when she found her husband cheating on her with his office secretary. She was more shocked when he filed for divorce. Now that her world has been in shambles, she is going alone on her anniversary trip down to Miami, but changed to Brazil after meeting a handsome pilot. She is excited to go to Carnival.
Kayla goes to the small Bed and Breakfast hotel the pilot recommended and finds a cute young American male also staying at the small B&B. Mason tries very hard to impress Kayla right off the bat.
Mason has been in Brazil about 2 months, taking photographs and trying to figure out the next step in his life. His father died a few months ago, and he doesn't want to take over the family business, but he knows he needs to be faithful to his father.
When Mason meets Kayla he knows she's the one for him. However, Mason is 27yrs old, and Kayla is 40. Kayla see's a young man and thinks she's too old for him. However, Mason doesn't think their 13 yr old age difference is anything to be concerned with. Kayla is having fun and going with the flow while they are down in Brazil. She is enjoying being around Mason and his positive attitude and how wonderful he treats her.

Kayla's life hit the skids after her husband of 18 years did some things that led to him leaving her to boot. I'm not sure I would have survived everything she went through without going downhill for a cool minute, but Kayla decides to get going on a bucket list journey which starts her on an unexpected path. See, as she's on her way to her original starting place when she comes across a pilot who recommends Brazil instead, and she even stays at the place he also recommended. Mason is at the same place trying to find his footing so neither saw the other coming. The list she makes for a new start Mason decides to help her with, and the sparks are flying like crazy. There's just one problem, he's a lot younger than her so she's not going to make it easy for him that's for sure. I believe equality in all things, however, I'm not a huge fan of the reverse age gap situation for whatever reason to be honest. It felt like to me Mason was the more mature person in this scenario, and Kayla did irritate me a time or two but that's just me. All in all, I enjoyed Bucket List Hottie so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was sucked in to Bucket List Hottie from the first page it was that good!! Kayla has decided to start doing things out of her comfort zone after catching her husband of 20 years being unfaithful. She feels she doesn't have anything to offer if the so called "love of her life" could do what he did. She is about to go on a trip by herself, she still goes on this trip, it's the destination that gets changed, she ends up going to Rio instead of where she planned and that's where things get really interesting!! This is where she meets Mason, and there is an immediate attraction between them, they end up spending lots of time together because Mason has decided, and offered to help Kayla check items off her bucket list which makes some major sparks fly between them. Kayla really won't allow herself to go there though because of the age difference between them, but the heart wants what the heart wants. There is also a bit of a shocking surprise in this book, which may help Kayla heal in the end and give her everything she wants. Y'all need to read this book and fall in love with Kayla and Mason's journey

Creative! Page turner! Must read!
My heart is full of love and joy for Mason and Kayla. They both take a trip to Rio to try and figure their lives out. We all have a bucket list of things we want to do sometime in our lives. Kayla is no different. She's in Rio to fulfill said list after going through a divorce. Mason is happy to ablige and help her with her list. You can feel the instant attraction these two have for one another. When they do finally give into the attraction, things heat up, and you'll need a bucket of ice to cool you down. The author was creative with the storyline and did a perfect job of bringing in the characters from the original series. I love a good age gap story. This is a story you won't want to miss. You'll love every minute of it. This is a new author to me, and I'm hooked!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this delightful book by ML Preston who was a new author to me. This book was just so delightful to read and I fell in love with Mason and Kayla who were perfectly written and just so adorable together. This book is part of The Cocky Hero Club but can be read as a standalone. I received this book as an arc for my honest opinion.

I loved this fun story about running around with an attractive stranger in Rio. I loved that Mason was a bit younger than Kayla and was up to helping her get through her bucket list. And he was more than willing to show her that she was desirable when she was feeling less than. There was an interesting twist and a unexpected confession for the two, but I loved that with some good advice, they both found where they needed to be.

I'll be the first to say I'm not normally a fan of the older woman/younger man trope, unless the maturity level between the two isn't marked or glaringly obvious. I'm glad to say Mason is not only mature, he's probably even more stable than Kayla, even more able to deal well with his feelings than she. I really liked him, her not so much, but the story itself is entertaining and fun.

Kayla’s lawyer husband has left her after 18 years of marriage. After their divorce, she does something spontaneous and books an airplane ticket to Miami. As she is telling her friend about it over the phone from an airport bar, a pilot named Trip overhears her conversation and suggests a different destination—Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. It turns out he is flying there and he knows that the flight isn’t full, so Kayla switches her reservations and decides to stay at the place that Trip suggests. He mentions that it is a wonderful place for her heart to heal. When she arrives, she meets a younger man named Mason Daniels, who is in Rio searching for his own answers. Kayla has created a list of things that she wants to do to ‘get her groove back,’ and Mason decides that he wants to help her accomplish these tasks. They start out as friends, but eventually become lovers, in spite of the age gap.
There is a lot of warmth and heart in this book. These two protagonists are each hurting in their own way, and they are each searching for answers and for healing. They experience various adventures together that help Kayla to find her footing and her confidence again. Meanwhile, Mason is falling for her and making some pretty major decisions of his own. His mother is getting married again shortly, so he has until the time of the wedding to figure out his decisions. There is an unexpected development that occurs toward the end of the book that eventually leads to a nice conclusion and some inner healing. This is a delightful story that should leave readers with a smile!

Mid-life just hit Kayla like a ton of bricks. I mean, as if finding her husband of 19 some-odd years cheating with his secretary wasn't enough, he files for divorce and leaves her floundering.

Ironically, I've never been a big fan of the reverse age-gap trope even though I live it.🤣 Thankfully, in this story, Mason is a mature younger man instead of just a horny guy looking to tame a cougar. I liked Kayla and Mason together. Even while Kayla feels like her life is falling apart, Mason seems to stabilize her. Their banter was amazingly entertaining and their chemistry was palpable.

This was a fun addition to the world. I haven't read Playboy Pilot but assume that Tripp is from that book, and we also have Bridget from British Bedmate from the OG series. I like to see these characters make appearances, and there were plenty in the book. The story had a typical cougar storyline, where she is hesitant about the relationship, but the bucket list storyline and the little twist that got me towards the end, it was enough to make the story feel unique.
I listened to the audiobook, and Teddy was amazing. Aria was a new to me narrator, and while she did great at main character Kayla's parts, I could rarely tell the difference between any other characters, including the males.

Kayla has just been through a nasty divorce after catching her husband cheating on her and decides to so something out of her comfort zone, and she draws up a bucket list. Changing destinations, she heads for Rio, where she meets Mason. Both characters are hurting inn their own ways, and there is an instant attraction between them. This is a well written friends / lovers’ story, with friendships, family, healing, emotions, an age gap, and leads to a fun, entertaining, and heartwarming page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Finding that Forever Love
Though this was a short story, it was sweet and to the point. Kayla reminds me so much of myself, as most of Author ML Preston’s characters do, she has a way of weaving you into her stories. I loved how this couple met and feel in Love.
Preston makes you feel Love when reading her words. Thank you for another AWESOME LOVE STORY!

I love the older woman younger man story! Kayla is recently divorced and she has a bucket list of things to do now that she is free again..she didn’t expect Mason, the younger man who shows interest and spend time with her in Rio..

Kayla and Mason's second chance, age gap romance was an incredible reading experience. A little angst, a lot of hope and fun times, some surprising twists and more held my attention. Another great book in the Cocky Hero Club world.

Prepare to swoon
Mason Daniels is just adorable with Kayla. Her heart is on the mend and he is there to help keep it together. Helping her accomplish her goals also brings them together despite the age gap. Their story is one of chance and the payoff is worth it.

I was immediately smitten with Mason and Kayla's story. Kayla is devastated after she learns her husband of 18 years of marriage was unfaithful to her. Her heart was burned and broken, but she was not giving up on herself. I admire Kayla for her strength and tenacity. She was not going to fall apart even though her heart was shattered. She decides to get away and take a vacation that is just for her. She puts together a "bucket list" of everything she has wanted to do, but didn't. When she arrives in Rio, she literally crashes into the most gorgeous man she has ever seen. His name is Mason and he is much younger than her.
She tries to brush off the attraction she feels for him, but Mason has other ideas. He is persistent and he convinces her to let him help her with her "bucket list". I found their story witty and passionate. It will leave you feeling that one should never give up hope of finding your dreams.

Loved this story. Kayla left her cheating husband and decided to go on a vacation by herself. She ends up meeting Mason, who is much younger than her, but sparks fly, and the connection is there. I loved how he helped her check off her bucket list items. Mason is just what she needed but she's gonna have to work on the "age difference" thing. It was such a good story that I read it in one sitting!
