Covid-19 Watch: 3,296 new cases bring total to 4,893,733


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 3,296 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (Oct 28), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's KKMNow portal, 3,286 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 10 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 4,893,733 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of 1 death was recorded on Friday with 1 classified as being brought in dead, bringing the total to 36,463.
