As many as 672 cargo transportation runs were carried out from Uzbekistan to Turkey by Uzbek trucks, which is 11.2 percent more compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
Uzbekistan accounts for 1.02 percent of the total volume of cargo transported to Turkey by trucks in the reporting period, the Association said.
The UND added that 35 cargo transportation runs were carried out from Uzbekistan to Turkey by Uzbek trucks in May 2020, which is 7.7 percent less compared to May 2019.
In the first 5 months of 2020, 65,957 cargo transportation runs were carried out to Turkey from abroad, showing a 22 percent annual drop.
In May 2020, 9,285 cargo movement runs were carried out from foreign countries to Turkey, which is 51 percent less compared to May 2019, the UND said.
