The first chapter of their collaboration caused shockwaves. On social media, Prada and adidas had shared the same picture of two shoe-boxes from the German brand in a bag from the Italian fashion house. For the first selection from this creative union, the duo unveiled a unisex collection, which debuted with the Prada Superstar sneakers and the Prada Bowling Bag for adidas, featuring the logo of the two brands. 700 sets were sold for 2,500 euros each.
Three new sneaker designs
Prada announced on Monday 31 August 2020: the house and the sportswear brand are releasing the Prada Superstar for the next phase of their collaboration. First created in 1969, the Superstar is one of adidas' most iconic designs. Created in Italy, the new minimalist collector editions combine the Italian house's luxury DNA with the German brand's high-performance sportswear spirit. Available in three colorways, the new sneakers will be available from September 8 in stores, at prada.com and adidas.fr.
