Lorissa’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Fund

Hi! My name is Lorissa and I was recently accepted to be in the Macy’s Great American Marching Band (which marches in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City). This band is made up of high schoolers from every state in America. I was chosen as a representative of Illinois to play the clarinet. As to my knowledge, I will be the first from my high school band (Jacksonville High School) to march in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This opportunity is not free, and I will need to pay for housing, uniforms, food, travel, as well as other necessities while I am there.
