Rhode Island Historical Society's Teen Advisory Board Application
Thank you so much for your interest in becoming a member of the Rhode Island Historical Society's Teen Advisory Board! This board is meant to give you the chance to have your voice heard in our community through the creation of inclusive and innovative programs, events, and initiatives. You will have the opportunity to gain leadership experience, collaborate with arts, cultural, and community organizations throughout our region, and learn about the world of museums and nonprofits.

Ideal candidates must:
- Be between the ages of 14-19 at any point during the 2020 calendar year
- Be enrolled in grades 9-12 during the 2020-21 school year
- Be a resident of the state of Rhode Island
- Commit to at least one year of service on the board, beginning in September 2020 and concluding in June 2021

Selected Board Members will be expected to:
- Attend at least 8 of the 10 monthly board meetings and notify the Teen Advisory Board Facilitators at least 24-hours in advance if you are unable to attend
- Communicate in a timely manner with board members and the TAB facilitators
- Represent the Rhode Island Historical Society in a responsible manner during all meetings and events
- Contribute to the Board's selected projects and initiatives, which may include additional meetings, communication, and assignments

Meeting times will be established after the board is selected. The application does request that you mark times that you would be available for meetings.
