What Are Weed Bubblers?
How Do They Work?
A lot of smokers prefer a bubbler from a bong. This is because a bubbler gives bigger hits. It's also convenient due to its more minor nature from a bong. Bubblers come in different types and materials. Some examples are double bubblers, hammer bubblers, silicone bubblers, and glass bubblers.
Like a bong, a bubbler filters smoke in water before inhaling it. Bubblers consist of a chamber, stem, bowl, mouthpiece, and a carb. The chamber is where you fill in the water. The stem holds little water where the smoke is cleaned and cooled before you smoke it. The bowl is where you fit in your herbs and burn them. Finally, the mouthpiece is where you place your mouth to inhale the smoke.
Here's how to use one.
Fill In The Chamber With Water.
Knowing the amount of water needed in a bubbler is essential for a good smoking session. Pour in water in the chamber slightly over the stem. With your finger, close the carb hole (in case there's one) and put your mouth on the mouthpiece. Inhale as if smoking it and release the carb.
If water reaches your mouth or gives a very loud bubble, that's an indication you put in a lot of water. You should reduce the water. If you smoke it and there is no bubble, then you should add water. The bubbling sound should be moderate.
Grind Your Herbs
It might be cool to put a bud in the bowl and burning it straight. However, if the weed is ground, you get a better experience smoking it. Grind weed allows air in, thus having a solid burn that heats evenly through. Don't make a fine grind, as it may cause blockage. A moderate grind one is the best.
Light It Up and Smoke
Before heating the weed:
Make sure none is lying outside the bowl.
Place your finger on the carb and place the mouthpiece in your mouth.
Light up the herbs and inhale for a second.
Place your finger on the carb hole and continue to inhale the smoke inside the chamber.
It's always an excellent smoking session with friends, but only if you don't hold on to the weed. Don't be that person who lets the herbs burn out. Always puff, puff, and pass left.
Clean the Bubbler
If you're a daily smoker, always change the water every day to avoid mold stains and bacteria. Also, do a thorough cleaning, once a week. The quickest and easiest way to clean is to use salt, baking soda, vinegar, or isopropyl alcohol.
It's not advisable to use alcohol if you have a silicone bubbler, as it might damage it. Leave the vinegar and salt solution in the bubbler for about an hour. Then shake it for a minute and rinse it with warm water. Let it dry before using it again.
The bubbler gives you a better and smoother hit since it has a percolator which changes the airflow. You should consider getting one and enjoy the experience.
