Algonomy: Empowering Digital-First Strategies for Retail Brands - create hyper-personalised digital shopping experiences (Raj Badarinath, Chief Marketing Officer)

In this episode, I spoke to Raj Badarinath, Chief Marketing Officer at Algonomy. Algonomy is a global leader in algorithmic customer engagement. They help retail brands to create hyper-personalised digital shopping experiences. But what does hyper-personalisation even mean? How is it different from segmenting a group of customers with similar interests? In this episode, you’ll find out.

Raj and I also discuss an important topic: where is the line drawn between where personalisation becomes invasive and infringes the customer’s right to privacy? Customers are increasingly privacy-first and yet demand personalisation at every touchpoint, so the insights Raj shares here are valuable in helping retailers overcome this challenge.

aisle 3: Aggregating all of the World’s Products in One Central Location - the antidote to endless tabs? (Thomas Vosper, CEO & Co-Founder)

In this episode, I spoke to Thomas Vosper, the CEO and co-founder of aisle 3.

Coined “the Wikipedia of product search”, aisle 3 has a bold mission statement: to aggregate all of the world’s products in one central location.

Why is this necessary? In this episode, Thomas highlights three important reasons why this is fundamental to the future of online shopping Ultimately, ecommerce is messy: product search is complicated and often results in endless tabs, product reviews are hard to authenticate, and businesses must battle platform titans to retain ownership and access to their own customers. aisle 3 wants to solve these issues with its solution, which is catching the attention of investors all over.

If you’re an entrepreneur, you’ll particularly enjoy this discussion, as Thomas shares his experience going from redundancy to a first-time entrepreneur in his 40’s, and all the lessons he’s gained from raising investment in a year riddled with uncertainty.

Visii: Enabling Customers to Search with their Mind's Eye - a totally new approach to search (Ben Grandy, Commercial Director)

In this episode, I spoke to Ben Grandy, the Commercial Director of Visii. Visii takes the search out of shopping with intuition-based AI: a totally new approach to online sales which uses the context of human behaviour to help you understand your customers and serve them with exactly what they want, every single time. One of Visii’s most popular solutions is Visii Explore, which uses visual search to help retailers to sell what their customers may not be able to describe. We as humans are very visual beings – we do most things with our eyes, and in fact, we process images about 66x quicker than technology. I think visual search is a natural step forward in the way we shop online. Stick around to learn more about what Visii does, how the AI intuition works and what the process would look like for an online retailer who wants to utilise Visii’s solution. I believe this technology could change the trajectory of your business, especially if you’re a retailer in an industry like art, fashion and apparel, or home decor.

If you enjoyed this episode, be sure to like and share on social media, and if you’re considering how you can utilise Visii's search solutions to enhance your ecommerce store, you should reach out to Ben directly at beng@visii.com.
