BY QEDC It's In Queens
It’s going well so let’s keep it going.
Queens Public Library continues Literary Thursdays in April. The popular, long-running program presents online sessions with authors who discuss their works live in person or online. Each weekly chat starts at 6 pm, and registration is not required.
The lineup for April 2024 mixes sports, science, social change, and psychics. More details follow. Please note that one presentation is in person.
April 4: Lesley-Ann Noel, Design Social Change: Take Action, Work toward Equity, and Challenge the Status Quo.
Who are you? What motivates you as a changemaker? What forces are preventing you — and others — from thriving? These questions are essential to creating social change, according to designer and design educator Lesley-Ann Noel. She suggests starting with knowing yourself and building outward into making change in your community and the larger world. (Available in print here.) Join the chat on Microsoft Teams here.
