Well, this has gotten way out of hand. Warner Bros. Entertainment has now restricted access for print and broadcast journalists from the red carpet at the upcoming U.S. premiere of “Joker.” All because these people aka journalist could not stop making headlines about how “dangerous” a fictional character might be to the “fragile minds of the American citizen” who may be incapable of discerning reality from fiction.

It seems Warner Bros has had enough of people painting their movie in a bad light before it has even premiered to the public. According to Variety:

The event, which will take place on Saturday in Hollywood at the famous TCL Chinese Theatre, will now only allow photographers access to talent and filmmakers. Expected attendees include Joaquin Phoenix, director Todd Philips, and supporting stars like Zazie Beetz and Frances Conroy.

So yeah, kinda crazy that hysterical people have effectively forced Warner Bros to banned them from the early viewing, and frankly that was the right move for WB to make. We all know that these select journalist are already walking into the premiere with a firm stance on this Joker movie, and an agenda to make their stance known to the world. So it’d be a waste of time to invite them to the premiere. I already shared my thoughts on the whole Joker thing here, so if you got time check it out.

Overall, all I’m hoping for now is that no one actually tries anything during the premiere as it will only serve to prove them right.
