Pippi P

Pippi P

Description

We played with the continuity of materials and colours to create an apparently simple object, which is actually the result of a very advanced structural technology. Linearity is the recurring trait that guided the design of the Pippi collection, designed to be monochromatic and mono-material. We wanted to bring the same concept back into the design drawing. The seat has no visible welds, each tubular element proceeds along its path, hiding the connections at the contact points.

Statement of the jury

The tubular frame and seat look like they are made of the same material, which gives the chair a special aesthetic appeal. By consistently doing away with corners, edges and visible connections, this timelessly elegant chair looks welcoming and inviting.
