Loki Fans Furious That They Didn’t Get Mobius Riding A Jet Ski

The finale of Loki has seismic implications for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it's a testament to just how invested audiences have become over the course of the last thirteen years that an episode mostly revolving around various characters delivering exposition back and forth had everyone perched on the edge of their seats.

Jonathan Majors made an instant impact as Kang the Conqueror, with Sylvie sending the multiverse spiraling out of control by killing one of He Who Remains’ variants, but causing countless more to make their way to any number of the branching timelines. If a multiversal big bad is the way things are going, then Phase Four stands to be exponentially bigger in scope and ten times more ambitious than the Infinity Saga.

All across the board, fans have unanimously praised Loki for bringing its story to a close, setting up the MCU’s next batch of adventures and even promising Season 2 for good measure. As you can see below, though, there’s one thing people were desperate to see happen in the finale that they never got.

The good news is that many versions of Owen Wilson’s Mobius are alive and scattered across an infinite number of realities, so we might yet see the instant cult hero riding a jet ski in Season 2. Perhaps the creative team didn’t anticipate just how much folks would latch onto the TVA employee’s infections enthusiasm when it comes to his favored mode of aquatic transport, even if Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu certainly did.

Now that a second batch of episodes has been officially announced, surely Loki will give the people what they want and show Mobius on a jet ski next time out.
