Kanyashree Scholarship 2020: The Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal is the official authority that initiated the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme. Kanyashree Prakalpa Scholarship Eligibility Criteria (K1 Scholarship) 2020

The candidates who wish to apply for the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scholarship must primarily check the eligibility criteria. Since no ineligible candidates will be granted the scholarship. Furthermore, we have mentioned the eligibility criteria. Check below.

·         In order to get the Kanyashree Scholarship, the student must be between the age of 13 & 17 (before turning 18).

·         The candidate must not be a married woman.

·         She must be studying in class 8th-12th in a Government recognized regular or equivalent school or vocational school. Also, they can be studying in a technical training course.

·         The annual family income must be less or equal to INR 120000 per annum in order to apply for Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme.

·         The family income condition will be varied if the following conditions are true.

·         If the applicant girl is physically handicapped.

·         The applicant’s parents (both father & mother) are deceased.

·         If the applicant’s daughter/ward is already a recipient of the scholarship & is asking for a renewal of the benefit.

Kanyashree Prakalpa Scholarship Eligibility Criteria (K2 Scholarship 2020)

·         The girl child must be 18-19 ( in between 18-19 years of age).

·         If the girls is unmarried on attaining 18 years of age.

·         However, the family income conditions can be varied if the girl is handicapped or has deceased parents.

The K3 scholarship was launched by the Honourable Chief Minister of West Bengal. It was initiated on 28th July 2017. It was for girls studying at any University. ·         Only K2 registered candidates are eligible for the Kanyashree Prakalpa K3 scholarship.

·         In order to apply for the Kanyashree Prakalpa K3 scheme, the candidate must have passed an undergraduate degree with at least 45%. Also, they must have taken admission in any postgraduate course under any University.

Now Kanyashree Scholarship also available for University girls students. Currently this Kanyashree Scheme available for School and College girls students. But recently the Chief Minister of West Bengal announced that ‘Kanyashree Scheme’ for Postgraduate courses also available.

On July 28th, 2017 the Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee announced that Kanyashree Scholarship K3 also start for the girl students who are currently studying at any University. This scholarship will help the girl students in their Higher Studies. Kanyashree Prakalpa received national and international recognition for its design governance features.

Girls students, who are already registered for the K2 scheme, are only eligible for K3 scheme. To apply the Kanyashree K3 scheme, students have to pass an Undergraduate degree with at least 45% marks and took admission on any Postgraduate course under any University.

Open/Distance University students aren’t eligible for this Kanyashree K3 scholarship.

Under the Kanyashree K3 scheme, Science stream students will receive Rs. 2500 per month and Arts stream students will receive Rs. 2000 per month. There is no maximum age limit to apply for Kanyashree K3 Prakalpa.

Kanyashree K1 scheme for the 13 to 18 years old school students. Under this K1 scholarship scheme girl, students are getting Rs. 750 per year. Kanyashree K2 scheme is for unmarried college girls students under age 18 to 19 years and the monthly family income less than Rs. 10,000. Students will get one time Rs. 25,000 for K2 scholarships.

Kanyashree K3 for University girls students, who are currently pursuing a Postgraduate degree. On this category, no matter what is the material status and what is the monthly family income. Chief Minister also announced that among those Kanyashree holder top 10 girls, who will go for further study and research (P.hd degree), their all the amount will provide by NRI citizens.

Kanyashree K3 Scholarship Online Application Process

You must have to fulfil all the eligibility requirements for Kanyashree K3 Scholarship and apply for this, then follow the steps. The last date of Online Application is November 2020

■ For Online Application at first visit the Application Portal, http://svmcm.wbhed.gov.in and click on the Apply for Kanyashree Prakalpa (K3) under the tab DIRECTORATE of PUBLIC INSTRUCTION (DPI).

■ Now select Year, Kanyashree ID, Name, Date of Birth, Father’s & Mother’s name and then click on K2 Authentication.

■ After successful verification, you could update your information from the application form and then click on the Register option. You will get a unique Applicant ID.

■ Now login to the website (svmcm.wbhed.gov.in) with your Applicant ID and password. Then click on the Edit Application/Edit Profile option and update your information and upload scanned photograph and signature. You can update your bank account details also.

■ Now upload the supportive documents, Admit Card and Marksheet of Madhyamik Exam, Admit Card and Marksheet of the last exam passed, Domicile Certificate (Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Voter Card etc) and Scanned copy of Bank Passbook 1st page.

■ After uploading all the documents, click on the Final Submit option and then download the Head of Institute Verification Certificate. Take print it out and signed and attested by the Head of your institution and upload it to the website.

■ After upload, the verification certificate, the Online Application Process for Kanyashree K3 Scholarship will be completed.

Eligibility Criteria for Kanyashree K3 Program

■ Girls Students pursuing a Postgraduate degree and passed the UG course with 45% marks are eligible.
■ The scholarship amount for Science Stream Students, Rs. 2500 per month and for Arts Stream Students Rs. 2000 per month.
■ There is no maximum age limit to apply.
■ Unmarried as we as Married students also apply for Kanyashree K3 Program.

Kanyashree Prakalpa Scholarship Amount Payment Method

The annual scholarship will be paid to the beneficiaries via fund transfer through the candidate’s bank account. Therefore, as soon as the application is approved, the applicant will be aided in opening & operating a bank account, through a bank partner. Furthermore, the account must be started in any Scheduled Bank. It is as per the RBI’s second schedule.

Renewal of Kanyashree Prakalpa Scholarship 2020

The procedure of the renewal of the Scholarship Applications is the same as it is for new applicants. Therefore, the candidate must carry all the documents. There is no requirement of the income certificate for the Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme application renewal. Furthermore, all the documents & application form will be scrutinized & verified.
