FOODIES have been snapping up tickets to the second annual Taste of the Beaches festival, with organisers excited about the benefits the event will bring local businesses.
The month long festival will see bars, restaurants and cafes across the local government area throw open their doors for unique dining experiences.
Taste of the Beaches kicks off on the weekend of April 30-May 1, with the Palm Beach Wine Garden at Governor Phillip Park.

The event offers food and wine lovers the chance to eat, drink, mingle and take in live music just a stone's throw from the beach. Dunes Palm Beach and Pepper Tree Wines are among the supplies who will be there serving up the best that they have to offer.
Dunes will be serving up a range of seafood each day, including freshly shucked oysters with cucumber noc cham (a Vietnameses style dressing of cucumber and chilli). Also on the menu is swordfish ceviche with chargrilled pineapple and crispy tortillas; tiger prawn rolls; and limoncello tiramisu.
"It's really an impressive set up on the beach," Dunes owner Brett Conway said. "May is such a beautiful time of year in Palmy."
Manly resident John Davis, who owns Hunter Valley winery Pepper Tree Wines, has long been a supporter of local foodie events.
"There's always big crowds and people know we're going to be there, we see the same faces every year," he said. "For them to try our wines is a great opportunity for us."
The winery is well known for its reds, but Mr Davis urged people not to miss trying the chardonnay. Pepper Tree Wines will also be at Taste of Manly on May 28-29.

Pittwater ward councillor Michael Gencher has urged people to get out and support local businesses during the festival.
"We're still in that space where we went from COVID to crappy weather and we need outings and joy," he said.
"Hopefully it brings people to the area and it brings the community together."
