The planting plans featured here feature a variety plants our horticultural staff have identified as tough, reliable plants that are easy to grow, don't need a lot of water, have few problems with pests or diseases and have outstanding qualities in the garden. These designs were developed for your home by UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden experts as well as students in our Learning by Leading™ program.
