I didn't know that this book has a previous version. When „Redemption” came on my Kindle, I just took this book and read it.
And I was totally in this story from the first page.
Destry and Tallan – they are fantastic and totally individial heroes. But both of them are so perfect to each other. Their story is like a real life, which we can meet every day. I totally love Destry, his strength, courage and bravery. But Tallan doesn't owe him. She is a perfect girl for this broken boy.
„Redemption” has a two parts. One written in Tallan's POV, second in Destry's POV. Both of them are good to read and if you ask me which part is better I won't choose. Because like Tallan, like Destry have so much to say. You must meet them both.
I really enjoyed time, which I spent with this book. „Redemption” is a sweet bitter story about friendship, love and honesty. Read this story and see by yourself than Tallan and Destry will have their redemption.

I absolutely loved Redemption. This story was so honest and raw! Shey Stahl has a special gift for crafting characters who are unbelievably real, they suck you right in to their world and refuse to let you go, even after you turn the last page.
This book is told in two parts, one each by Tallan and Destry, the two main characters. These two are far from picture perfect individuals. They were both trying to overcome past failures and trauma while navigating their career aspirations and undeniable connection. Their love was hard fought for, and the road to redemption was gritty with a heap of heartache, but boy am I glad I got to experience the ride! 🙌🏼
Redemption holds important lessons in self-awareness and self-love, and truthfully depicts the struggle in becoming vulnerable to love again after being so badly hurt. In the end we all need connection, and sometimes the person who is so right for us, who is willing to fight for us like no other, is the very last one we’d ever expect.

I have never read the original versions of this book so when given the chance to read an early copy of Redemption I was super excited.
Let me just start of by saying Tallan is an incredible character, although the first few chapters I was frustrated as all get out with her and her obsession with her ex but as I got to know her over the first half of the book I really loved her and during the second part of the book it really became apparent how strong she was and how hard she loved and how utterly perfect she was for Destry.
Destry is an angry man. He has been left by people he loves but above else he is angry at himself. Then Tallan comes into his life and despite not liking her very much at first he cannot deny the attraction he feels. She ends of becoming just what he needs.
This is such a great love story. I love the characters, they are complex and a little rough around the edges (in Destry’ case). The story was fantastic and original and realistic with a whole lot of heart much like most of Shey Stahl’s books.

Redemption
Wow! What an epic read this book was! I throughly enjoyed the ride I was taken on with Tallen & Destry.
Tallen was determined to lose some weight after receiving a phone call from her ex Silas, the rock star that left her without such much as a goodbye, who wanted to meet up on his return to Seattle in 6 weeks! Tallen like us all feels that she’s not looking her best as when she dated Silas she was a lot slimmer. So she decided to get some help from a personal trainer, Destry, ex boxer, insanely hot, grumpy and who works her body hard.
Loved their interactions, Destry was quiet and rude who didn’t trust anyone. Great to see their relationship revolve. Destry is just so swoon!
There was a lot of mystery and unanswered questions surrounding Destry and how he lost his previous fight. It was such a good read unraveling it all. Loved how Tallen supported Destry and never gave up on him and showed him to believe in himself and seek out his redemption.
Absolutely recommend you read this book! What a knock out.

I did not get to the read the original versions of these books (The Trainer and The Fighter) but they had been on my wish list so I was so excited to get a chance to read these two separate books in this new all in one version. I thought Redemption was a great story and I read it rather quickly. I really fell in love with both Destry & Tallon. Their love story was beautiful. Tallon needs to loose weight to impress her high school crush. She does not realize how beautiful she really is. I felt for her, she has some self esteem issues that I felt was very relatable. Destry is mad at the world and does not have time for drama. He is a moody ex boxer who walked away from fighting after he lost who she hires to help her loose the the weight. I loved how we got both Tallonn and Destry's point of views, I thought Tallonn was hilarious and I found myself laughing out loud at times. This a beautiful story of redemption, not giving up and believing in yourself even when others give up and don't believe in you. It is about fighting for what and who you love.

It's fight night and I'm ringside at Caesar's Palace for the title fight Lucas vs Stone. The excitement from the crowd is electric as Destry "Southpaw" Stone battles to take back his title. The sound of every jab, uppercut and hook landed reverberates through me as I sit on the edge of my seat not able to look away. Ok fine, I wasn't actually there but damn did it feel like it! I read the original versions of this and was absolutely ecstatic to get that little bit more of some of my favorite characters ever. I love Destry Stone, he may be incredibly mean at times, but lord almighty there is a lot to love!!! Oh and can you say HOT?, Destry is the definition of it!!! I had completely forgotten how hysterical Jared and Tallan were. The tears of laughter with these two best friends were endless. Tallan has probably some of the most inappropriate thoughts while internally talking to herself that even now I'm laughing just thinking about them, "Hello my old friend" LOL. Loved all the little extras we got this time around. Raw and real , a must read!!!! Destry is "The Champ"!

Fall in love with Destry and Tallen in this beautifully written story of redemption, and not giving up or believing in yourself, even when those around you have given up and don't believe in you.

Best trainer romance to date! I did not read the original series of this book, so when I recieved the ARC I was super excited. After reading, I'm almost glad that I didn't. I loved being able to go into this book blind not knowing what to expect. I know Shey said something things were a little different in this than the previous but I am one that usually does not re-read a book once I have previously read it, so entering and learning a whole new book world and exciting for me. It was not at all what I was expecting, in a very good way. To this day, I have yet to read one if Shey's books that I havent fallen head over heels for. She always know the way to my book loving heart. I would seriously recommend this book to ANYONE. It is that good. 100+ stars.

I'm so happy that Shey combined these two books. Destry and Tallan's love story is it. All anyone needs is one person who believes in them, trust in them, and loves them unconditionally. Everyone is Destry's life has left him, leaving him bitter and his thoughts a clouded mess. Tallan's first love wants back in her life and she's willing to let him in even if it's only for a night. She's feeling frumpy and decides she needs to go back to what she looked like years ago which leads her to meeting Destry. Their first days in the gym are harsh. Goes back to that trust issue......for them both. I don't want to give away anymore than I have but the combo is perfection!!!

"He turned and saw me standing there for the first time our eyes locked. Usually Destry didn't look at me long. There were fleeting glances, but for some reason, he stared at me right then and I was trapped, unable to lift my gaze from his. The world shifted with that look." And just wait till you read why!!! This book was intense and I loved every minute of it. The chemistry between Destry and Talan wasn't instant for him but he saw this woman with curves and smart mouth and he knew he couldn't turn away from her. The story of redemption for Destry was also the long way home. For him and a father who was a major influence on Destry to stay honest and be the "South Paw" he was.
Shey Stahl pulls you in and keeps you rapped up until the end. I read this series The Trainer and the Fighter so putting these together made such a great combination. Both POV done the way Shey did it was worth the read. Absolutely one of my favorite reads of the month!!

Tallan is quite the entertainer and she doesn't even realize it. Tallan wants to change to impress someone else but doesn't realize that is fine just the way she is. She is so real and is relatable as a character because we all have those issues but she does something about it. In walks Destry who is moody, mean (at times) and not to mention HOT...there are things to love about him too! This is about believing in who you are no matter what anyone things as well as redemption. This is an awesomely realistic story as always from Shey.

I didn't even know there was an original version of Tallan and Destry's story, but this version, I had nothing to compare it to, but it was so raw, so emotional and just so darn good. Tallan is the opposite of Destry, D is an angry, super intense and people have let him down so he guards his heart tightly. But Tallan breaks down his wall slowly and he just needs her. This story pulled you in and just kept you enthralled with their story. Shey just writes some really good emotional books that just tugs hard at your chest. Very good read.

Can I say there are some books come when you need them.... Redemption shows that certain people come into your life when you need them too. Destry and Talley show that. Smooth hitter. I am so glad that I read this book, it took some time, because I thought I missed something so re-reading a chapter was what I did.
This book was so worth it. I love that the weather was right for reading! Perfect book for a lets cuddle on the couch and read nights.

You will love the story of Destry and Tallon as they navigate their lives trying to prove themselves in their careers. They soon realize, with the right partner, you can have both a career and love. This is an amazing read that you don’t want to put down. As usual, Shey doesn’t disappoint, Great Job!!!

Shey never disappoints. She always has a way of sucking me in and not letting go until the last word of the book! The first part is told by Tallen’s POV and the second is Destry’s. Tallen is funny and quirky while Destry is intense and so very delicious! Both characters had their own internal struggles and both found redemption with the help of the person they least expected. And the sparks these two created were off the charts! Don’t pass this one up!

Shey has done it again! Destry’s bad-boy mentality will have you hooked right from the beginning. I loved the way Shey wrote the dynamic between Tallan and Destry. Tallan quickly became my book best friend with her spunky, no-quit attitude and love for tacos :) I also really enjoyed how their story was told, you get the best of both worlds with Tallan and Destry’s own point of view. This book didn’t disappoint, five stars!

Redemption is a powerful story about knowing what you want and fighting to get it, and trusting those you love to help you get there. Tallon needed to find the confidence to change for herself. Destry needed to trust that someone wanted him for him and not what he could give. They are so powerful together! I love this story!

I unquestionably loved Redemption! There is a reason this book is called Redepmtion! Tallan and Destry bring all the feels to the surface. What a commanding, vulnerable, authentic, and beautiful story. Destry is angry and insatiable while Tallan is powerful in another way. She is funny and quirky and her internal monologues will have you laughing out loud. They both have their own inner struggles but they way they lean on each other is brilliant.

Tallen came to boxer Destry Stone to help her lose weight and get into shape to impress her old boyfriend but she did think not only would she find herself confidence again but find love too.Destry is a man that was hurt by all the women in his life and with Tallan Who is slowly breaking down the walls that are around Destry’s heart and this scares Destry .

I was shocked at how good this story was.
I love boxing romance so much I'm glad I took a chance on Shey Stahl's recent release. I know this was originally a duet and I'm so glad the author put the duet into one novel. Tallan & Destry are one of a kind. I loved there love story and I really loved Destry's redemption to work himself hard to back on top of the boxing world. This was a wonderful read, Bravo Shey ❤❤❤.

AMAZING! The only word that can describe this book. I loved Tallan and her personality. She had such an out going personality but has some inner struggles. You can't help but love this character right away! All of them come together great and this was an amazing read. I laughed so hard at some parts ànd related to other parts. One of her best books.

Shey did it again! Amazing! I’ve followed shey for 4 years now and have not come across a book of hers that I didn’t like. She is an amazing writer! Redemption is a nail biting, toe curling, lip biting thriller! And so much love and heartache. A beautiful story! I would recommend this book

I haven't read these stories in their original versions but I'm very disappointed I hadn't but at the same time it made this story all the more enjoyable. I absolutely loved it all, from start to finish I couldn't get enough. I constantly wanted more. The storyline was absolutely fantastic and I loved the characters so much. This is an absolute must read.

What can I say...This book is exactly what the book is called Redemption.
Tallan is witty, funny and totally relatable. While Destry is a angry, gutsy, driven male. I adored how the story appeared simple but was multi-layered and how we got to peel off the surface and see into the characters' souls. Another great read!

Holy shower scene. It was at this point I knew Tallan was the kind of women the Destry deserved. This book had an emotional roller coaster of feelings. From Tallans obsession of someone else to the scared guy who only wanted his father to remember him. This book had me wishing I would have started it on a weekend as I really didn't want to put it down to go to work.

I don’t think there’s a boxing romance that could even come close to Destry and Tallan! They are off the charts smokin!! Tallan seeing the feel Destry brought me to tears! Gah I couldn’t put the book down I blame Shey for all my sleepless nights of “just one more chapter.” Tallan will make you laugh your ass off with her jeans!
