Brick Rick – A new Amstrad CPC game that you can download for free now and pre-order the Collector edition

Juan J. Martinez is again releasing a great game for free. This time he presents us with Brick Rick, a single platform game inspired by classics like Bubble Bobble.

The game has 50 stages where Rick has to clear in less than 60 seconds. You can stun the enemies, so they can’t hurt you and then kick them back to outer space. You can stun them by using your bricks or by hitting them with other enemies, causing a chain reaction.

Some enemies will drop an item that will increase your score (coffee), give you more time (sand clock), or stun all the enemies on the screen (dynamite).

One interesting bit is that, if you don’t clear the stage in 60 seconds, the Time Monster will appear and chase Rick until he loses a life or the stage is cleared.

Brick Rick Collector Edition, a fancy boxed version of the game, is available for pre-order now, featuring:

• a colouring book with coloured pencils
• DIN A3 poster
• Stickers
• shrink-wrapped

Although the game is free, the download page contains a link where you can buy the author a coffee. The collectors edition is already available for pre-order for 28,27 € and it ships in around 2 months.
