Glad that they are expanding to the 'burbs! I hope this location survives, but only being open for three days per week and carry-out only ... going to be hard to make rent (~$3,000/month).

I opt'd for a shrimp po' boy and small servings of:

      - Cornbread muffin
      - Red beans w/rice and Cajun sausage
      - Classic jambalaya
      - Shrimp gumbo

All are excellent! My favorites are the the shrimp po' boy and the red beans & rice w/cajun sausage

Whenever they re-open the dining room ... the bench seating is seriously uncomfortable and unattractive.

The plastic that separates the customers from the workers has no holes/grates to allow communications. It requires literally SHOUTING to be understood.

Will I return? Yes. I. Will.

Only open Thursday thru Sunday. That is really hard on customers. We NEED more days. I always want it on Monday and life gets busy and I forget about it by Thursday.

I was really looking forward to trying this place. The creole was less bad than the gumbo,
But Nothing I ate could pass for authentic creole anything. NOT the jambalaya or the gumbo. Corn bread embarrassing bad.
Hardly anyone came through when I was with a friend for lunch. Service was very nice, but NO WAY will this place in Farmington Hills last.

This place has potential. I ordered the gumboC seafood and chicken and mixed them at home. I did add some additional spices, so it was to my liking, but it was better than starting from scratch . The people were so nice and really took the time to wait on me and get my order just right.

      Good cajun good.

Also, good luck getting there when they are open.

The last time I was in I was told they were up to being open Friday and Saturday... well, it is Saturday and they are not open.

But if you want Cajun food in Farmington and it is an alternate Friday between noon and 12:15, try em out. The jambalaya, creole, and gumbo are all tasty. The cornbread was a little bland to me.

I went to grab a bite on 1/4 and I was greeted by a hand written sign taped to the front door stating that "due to the holiday" the place would be closed until 1/9. I probably won't make it back.. Whoever is in charge should hire someone to help keep the place open.

Absolutely worst experience I've had with a restaurant. First they mixed up my order with other customer. When I returned to get a corrected order the young lady working the counter stomped off and never returned. Another employee completed the order. I got home and gumbo did not have a drop of broth! Avoid at all cost!

I had the catfish sandwich and it was delicious. Cooked to perfection and wasn't over seasoned. The fish held up really nicely. Can't wait to try more.

The food is assembled, as opposed to being cooked to order. Scoop of base, shrimp placed on top (or chicken). It didnt taste so much like a cooked recipe as much as several different ingredients plopped into a dish (which it was, as you can watch them doing it).
it really seemed like a fast food version of creole cooking. Nothing tasted 'combined'.

The workers are very courteous. I ordered the catfish po boy and the red beans and rice. The fish was freshly fried hard just the way I like it. It was scrumptious!

I also received a sample of the gumbo. OMG! So good!

      I will return.
