About this ebook

Stolen in the night by a monster, I’m a captive now. Lucian Morelli always takes what he wants. And now he’s taken me. The man who’s haunted my steps from the moment we met at Tinsley’s ball now controls my every move in his hideaway. His dark eyes miss nothing, and he seeks out all my weak spots. He uses his fingers, his wicked tongue, his sharp mind. Searching, testing, looking for the me I’ve hidden away for so long. The me that’s still a scared little girl curled in a corner.

He’s relentless in his pursuit of my secrets, but I manage to discover some of his own. I’m not the only one hiding, not the only one marred by my past. And when he sees me, truly sees me, for the first time in as long as I can remember—I’m not afraid. I’m not afraid of this monster, my monster. I want him to hurt me, to break me, to put me back together, and above all, I want him to love me.

A love as fiery as it is destructive, one that will scorch our families and maybe, just maybe, set us both free.

Welcome to the Midnight Dynasty... The warring Morelli and Constantine families have enough bad blood to fill an ocean, and their brand new stories will be told by your favorite dangerous romance authors.

Soulless picks right up from book one. Lucian continues his plan to annihilate Elaine, but as secrets are learned, things start to shift. The both of them have more in common than what one things. They are a good fit for each other. I love to hate Lucian Morelli, and it did change in this book... much. I always wanted an anti-hero to be more of a villain. He will always be Elaine's villain. Not a lot happened, but I enjoyed the all the darkness and the turn of events. I can't wait to see Lucian unleashed in the conclusion of the trilogy. 3.75 stars

We start where book one’s cliffhanger left us with Lucian kidnapping Elaine. And although he’s trying to deny his feelings and sees this as a means to an end, he takes her to a place that’s sacred to him so that she can’t be found and can be his puppet to bend at his will. I love Lucian’s supreme alpha personality, his dominance and need for power oozes from the pages and his need for vengeance overpowering, I can’t wait to see him with all his fury in the conclusion. Elaine, I loved the change in her, from uptight to someone more relaxed. Although she does have her darkness and her story is chilling, she’s a fighter, keeps her secrets and can easily stand up to her big bad tormenter. When they both relax a little I had to laugh at the domestic of them, they are a funny pair. We get more of Lucian and Elaine together in this book, which I loved, although I did enjoy the cat and mouse games of book one with Lucian in stalker mode! This is such a great dark read, really dark at times and one I couldn’t put down. It’s dark and sexy and I can’t wait for the conclusion.

4.5 Stars This is a really good continuation of the story from Heartless. It was better written and I liked it more than the first story. I could really put myself in the place of these characters that are sooo different from myself. You definitely do have to read that story before reading this one.

About the author

USA Today bestselling author Jade has increasingly little to say about herself as time goes on, other than the fact she is an author, but she’s plenty happy with this. Living in imaginary realities and having a legitimate excuse for it is really all she’s ever wanted.

Jade is as dirty as you’d expect from her novels, and talking smut makes her smile.

She lives in the Herefordshire countryside with a couple of hounds and a guy who’s able to cope with her inherent weirdness.

She has a red living room, decorated with far more zebra print than most people could bear, and fights a constant battle with her addiction to Coca-Cola.
