ERA AGM and EFB All vehicles with stop/start technology require stop/start batteries, you must never replace either an AGM or EFB battery with a standard battery, even very high-performance ones as standard batteries are not designed, intended or capable of dealing with constant stop starting or powering the increased electrical loads that these vehicles are built with. AGM and EFB batteries are also vastly different in their build, technology, and design, again highlighting the importance of choosing the correct battery replacement for the different vehicle technologies.

ERA AGM

ERA AGM - For all vehicles where a conventional battery reaches its limits. Fitted primarily in vehicles with an advanced start / stop system, but also some middle and upper class vehicles with high energy consumption due to the multitude of comfort and safety systems. In the event of a replacement, only an AGM battery can be used to replace an AGM battery. The AGM battery differs from all other batteries in that the acid electrolyte is captured in the glass fibre matting that is secured against the plates in a suspended state rather than free solution, this significantly increases the power reserves and prevents acid stratification. An ERA AGM battery is guaranteed to be leak proof and can be transported and installed safely even under difficult circumstances. ERA EFB

ERA EFB - The perfect start for entry-level start / stop systems and conventional vehicles with increased energy requirements. Since the vehicle’s engine stops at red traffic lights, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are significantly reduced. ERA EFB batteries ensure that electrical devices continue to be reliably supplied with power when the engine is switched off and that the engine can be restarted in fractions of a second when it is time to start driving again. The special ”Enhanced Flooded Battery” design (EFB) is required to ensure constant energy supply even during frequent start / stop cycles to ensure consistent power supply is available.
