Good Afternoon CVCHS Families,
As mentioned in our November 2nd Parent Newsletter, we wanted to share some additional information and opportunities on how to stay safe as the air gets colder and the holidays are approaching. As you may be aware, COVID-19 cases are increasing across the country and locally. Contra Costa County is in danger of moving from the orange to the red tier next week due to an increase in positive cases in the county.
Each week, CVCHS continues to bring additional students on campus. We are working hard to ensure that every student who wants to participate in the in-person learning opportunities can do so. Our in-person learning program has grown from just 25 students in mid-September to more than 400 as of next week. The process is moving slowly, but this pace is also deliberate to maximize everyone's safety.
As more students return to campus over time, it is important we keep health and safety as our highest priority.
Given the nature of COVID-19, we are working diligently to follow all guidelines and protocols to keep our students, staff, and campus safe. We have to do this for each other just as much as for ourselves. CVCHS protocols are designed to minimize exposure and ensure the minimum number of students who are counted as close contacts in the event of a positive COVID-19 case. As you may recall, there have been two positive cases related to CVCHS. However, as a testament to the measures we have taken, there has been no reported spread on the CVCHS campus.
PLEASE REVIEW THE INFORMATION BELOW TO HELP CVCHS BRING MORE STUDENTS BACK TO CAMPUS AND TO MINIMIZE THE SPREAD OF COVID-19.
