Help With Legal Scholarship

Post by purplegoldtornado » Mon Nov 16, 2020 12:29 am

Hello, TLS.

I am planning on devoting a majority of the rest of my law school career (2L now) to scholarship and getting published. I am on law review, and next semester, I’ll be writing an article under the guidance of a professor in hopes of publication.

I was curious if anyone could talk privately with me who has a lot of success with legal scholarship. Specifically, I am writing my note this semester, and I really want it to be punished. I was hoping that someone would be able to provide any feedback or tips.

Any general advice is welcome in the replies! Thanks!

Read Volokh’s book on Academic Legal Writing, and also this https://medium.com/whatever-source-deri ... 70a54f89aa. You can also look at old comment threads on Prawfs law blog to get a a sense of how publication works. It’s hard.
