From the Dean
One of the highlights of serving as FSU Law’s dean is working with brilliant faculty colleagues. In addition to being committed to providing high-quality classroom experiences, faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized experts in a wide variety of substantive areas. They publish impactful scholarship in some of the nation’s top law journals and their work has been cited by the U.S. Supreme Court and other courts around the world. We recently published our annual brochure that highlights recent faculty scholarship and this year’s publication is extremely impressive. FSU Law professors have recently published articles in the Harvard Law Review, Michigan Law Review, Minnesota Law Review, New York University Law Review, Texas Law Review, University of Chicago Law Review, Virginia Law Review, and William & Mary Law Review, all of which are regarded as among the nation’s top 25 legal journals. You can view our Faculty Scholarship Brochure online to see a full list of our professors’ recent publications.
Students Attend Business Law Section Retreat
(L-R): Amanda Lowe, Jackie Mustian, Landus Anderson, Jason Barrack, Business Law Section Secretary Manny Farach ('86), Business Law Section Chair Kacy Donlon, and Allaa Tayeb at The Florida Bar Business Law Section Retreat
Five FSU Law students attended The Florida Bar Business Law Section’s retreat in Naples during Labor Day weekend. The students had many opportunities to network with Business Law Section members and to participate in programming about the area of law in which they plan to practice. Congratulations to third-year students Landus Anderson, Jason Barrack, Amanda Lowe, Jackie Mustian, and Allaa Tayeb on being selected to attend this beneficial event. For several years, FSU Law students have attended the Business Law Section retreat. As in the past, section member and FSU Law alumnus Manuel Farach (’86) generously gave of his time to coach the students prior to the retreat so that they could effectively navigate and make the most of their time at the event. Farach also served as a mentor for the students during the retreat, introducing them to some of the state’s top business lawyers and facilitating meaningful connections.
