Stories and Events from Our Community
Dear friends,

This weekend we'll be celebrating three very special gifts.  First is the gift of mothers - past, present, future, and mother-figures alike - we will remember and celebrate the wonderful joys which they have brought into our lives.

Then, we will be unveiling our new camera system for our on-line worship.  For those worshipping at home, you'll notice stunning new views of our beloved sanctuary all as our resident guru Justin Baker masterfully operates the new equipment.  If you are worshipping with us virtually tomorrow, please know that you are still very much with us - we'll be looking at the cameras, thinking of you, and feeling our powerful sense of togetherness.

And of course, one last gift - this will be our first Sunday in over fourteen months offering in-person worship in our spiritual home.

For those joining us in-person, we wanted to briefly paint a picture of what that experience will look like:
  • Upon arrival, for those who are able, please enter through the front doors on Wilshire Blvd.  An usher will take your temperature.  If you register above 100 degrees, you will be asked to stand in the shade for a few minutes (in case you were in direct sunlight).  If the subsequent reading continues to be in excess of 100 degrees, you will be asked to participate in the worship virtually.

  • After taking a bulletin from the table, please proceed to the left side of the church if you are a party of one or two, or to the right side of the church if you are a party of three or more.  An usher will seat you in the front-most available seat for your party size.

  • Please remember that congregational singing is prohibited at this time.

  • All service participants will be masked, except during the reading of the lessons, the sermon, and the Eucharistic Prayer.

  • We will not be passing the plate during the Offertory, however, we will have an alms basin available as you come up for Communion.

  • Please use the hand sanitizer stations available in the front of the church prior to receiving Communion.  As you approach the priest, please keep your mask onPlease wait until you are back at your pew to consume the Host.  For those not comfortable receiving communion at this time, we invite you to say the prayer for Spiritual Communion, uniting in prayer with those worshipping virtually.

  • At the conclusion of the service, ushers will be inviting parties to leave the church through the Wilshire Blvd doors, as they are able, beginning at the back of the church.
Whether in-person or online, it will be an immense joy to celebrate all these gifts as we pray and worship together in this season of New Life and New Possibilities.
