ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne claims that Ben Simmons “is prepared to sit out the entire season if the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t able to find a trade partner before the deadline next month.”
Here is what Ramona Shelburne said on ESPN on Monday:
“He does want to move on of course and restart his life and his career, but he’s been going very diligently to see, to do work with his therapist, and I think the sense is if it takes the entire season to trade him, if it takes all year for the Sixers to find a trade that’s acceptable for them, he’s prepared for that,”
“It sounds unbelievable to think like a guy who is still getting fined for every game, for every practice, for every weight lifting session that he’s missing … He’s OK if he goes the whole season if that’s how it goes.”
Ben doesn’t seem to mind because he is spending all his time with his new fiancee Maya Jama.
Maya Jama put on a stylish display as she stepped out in London on Sunday night for the first time since getting engaged to basketball player Ben Simmons.
The presenter, 27, looked sensational on the outing as she donned quirky zebra print boots, which she paired with a chilled graphic T-shirt.
Maya hid her stunning new engagement ring with leather gloves, after she was spotted in Philadelphia wearing the huge rock.
Accessorizing the look, she wore a stylish Balenciaga cap on top of her raven tresses.
The outing come after Ben and the TV presenter were spotted enjoying a coffee date in Philadelphia 76ers’ player Ben’s home city on Monday.
The TV star spent Christmas at Ben’s £3.7million mansion in Moorestown, New Jersey and it’s rumoured she will relocate there following the proposal.
Simmons will never be able to recoup the money he is losing this season, but here is why he isn’t bothered by it.
He is still owed $114 million over the next three seasons. When you have that type of financial security, you can make a stand.
