Star: Duchess Kate ‘seethes’ with jealousy over Meghan’s life and freedom

StarCoverNovember292021

This was “last week’s issue” of Star Magazine, but I only got the chance to read the cover story over the weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed it, even if it’s total trash. It’s fun to see that at least one tabloid outlet is actually painting the Duchess of Cambridge as a compulsive copykeener who is sick with jealousy over the Duchess of Sussex’s life, money and style. I mean, it’s what we talk about all the time here, on this site – Kate’s jealousy has been apparent from the word go, and Kate continues to copy Meghan and develop her “Meghan lookbook” and single-white-female Meghan constantly, for everything other than Meghan’s heart, compassion, intelligence or work ethic. Some highlights from Star’s cover story:

Kate is seething and obsessed: Harry, 37, and Meghan, 40, are back in the spotlight. And according to sources, Kate Middleton is seething. One former private palace secretary says the Duchess of Cambridge — initially thrilled when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shocked the world by leaving the U.K. and settling in Los Angeles — didn’t realize how it would feel to watch her formerly close sister-in-law live her best life from afar. Now, the mom-of-three has become jealous and preoccupied with the former Suits star’s new world. “Meghan is still connected to the royal family, but unlike Kate, she has the freedom to do whatever she wants,” the insider says. “Kate is so envious of Meghan’s new life — to the point of obsession.”

Kate cyberstalks Meghan: Among other things, says the insider, the 39-year-old Kate practically cyberstalks the California native from across the pond. “Kate secretly trolls Meghan on social media and will Google her to see what she’s up to!” (Ironically, when Harry and Meghan left for the States, Kate snapped up their former social-media guru, David Watkins, for her own staff.)

Kate was mad that Meghan took Harry from her: “Kate took Meghan under her wing [in 2017], but cracks between them started to show after Harry proposed,” says the insider, who adds that the American seemed to drive a “wedge” between Kate and her beloved brother-in-law. Kate was also miffed when she saw her new sister-in-law getting close to Queen Elizabeth II, 95. “She didn’t like that Meghan was moving in on her turf,” dishes the insider. Kate reportedly told members of her inner circle that Meghan uses people and couldn’t be trusted. “At the end of the day, Kate and Meghan are both strong, domineering women who were fighting to achieve the same goal,” says the insider. “To win over the Queen and the public.”

Kate is resentful: Kate has become resentful that Meghan no longer has to follow royal rules. Meghan is free to express her personal opinions unchecked. In October, she wrote an open letter to Congress calling for paid family leave, for example. (Not to mention her blockbuster TV sitdown with Harry in March.) As a member of the monarchy, on the other hand, Kate is obliged to remain neutral on political issues and isn’t allowed to vote. “Kate studied politics at school and always enjoyed a good debate until she married into the royal family,” notes the insider. “Being forced to remain silent on issues — and watching Meghan speak out — definitely winds her up.”

Kate is bitter: Kate can only watch as the rogue royals ink multi-million dollar deals with Netflix and Spotify, cementing a place in show business. “She complains, saying Meghan puts making money before morals or loyalty, but it’s obvious she’s bitter,” says the insider. “Who wouldn’t say no to living in a $14 million dollar mansion in Montecito?”

Kate’s glam squad: As for that proximity to Hollywood, Kate can only wish. For her Sept. 28 appearance at the London premiere of No Time to Die, she went all out in a sparkling in a custom gold Jenny Packham gown. Says the insider, “Kate brought in a whole glam squad for that.”

[Star Magazine, print edition, November 29, 2021]

One, I don’t doubt that Kate has increased her “glam squad” to Kardashian levels following Meghan’s exit. Kate gets her hair professionally styled for every appearance now, and I assume her makeup is being handled by professionals now too (no more raccoon eyes for daytime events). That being said, for all of that effort, her glam squad f–ks it up more often than not. Two, using words like seething, obsessed, resentful, envious… Kate is totally all of those things. She has been for years. Instead of developing her own personality and interests, she just latches on to a woman she admires or a woman William is sleeping with and Kate obsessively styles herself like that and tries to copy everything about that woman. Kate is such a dysfunctional personality, my God.

Gotta wonder why there hasn’t been very much at all about her getting together with her sister, too, anymore. There used to be stories, even of K going to Pips house, or them both out with their mother at a restaurant. Now, nothing. I think Khate is jealous of Pip as well: Pip married (moderately 😄) wealthy, has a £17M mansion in a very wealthy area of London (that she got to remodel), two kids, a husband who seemingly adores her, and NO ONE TELLING HER what to do, wear, or how to spend her time/money. That has GOT to sting as well.

    • LaraK says:

I think Kate thought she was going to lord her life over her sister forever – I mean she got the grand prize as it were. And then she realized why nobody else seemed to want that prize. And it was actually Pippa who made the smarter move and retain her independence while still remaining wealthy. And now Meghan too gets to be rich and famous but also love however she pleases. It must sting.

      • Merricat says:

        Agreed

      • Becks1 says:

I think Pippa may have been a little jealous at the time of the Cambridge wedding but I’m sure she isn’t at this point – she has a husband who wants to be around her (one thing that I think has always been clear about James Matthews is that he adores Pippa), she can work, not work, go to the gym all day, whatever, and no one can stop her, she vacations when and where she wants, etc.

I definitely think that now, Pippa knows that she made the better “choice.” (not that william proposed to her lol, but you all know what I mean.) She may have wanted a title desperately, but at this point I’m not sure how much she cares about that.

      • lanne says:

Ironically, Pippa might have been a better choice for William. She at least seems to have more of a personality, and might even be more suited to the role. But Ma Middleton made sure the eldest daughter got the “prize” (for what its worth).

      • Sofia says:

I agree. I know Pippa was looking for a title herself but it has worked out well for her and she gets to enjoy the wealth AND she doesn’t have to open up her house to strangers to pay the bills.

      • Sofia says:

        Double comment

      • Athena says:

Pippa has more of a work ethic , did better at school than Kate, and doesn’t treat all women as the enemy, so yes, if the two she would have been a better Queen consort.

So we’re to believe Kate went from debating politics to not being able to string a few words together, not likely.

      • February-Pisces says:

When I imagine Pippa being in Kate’s position I can’t help but think she would have done it so much better. Whenever I see kate and Pippa together it always reminds me of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian in 2006 and where Kim looks like she’s thinking “I could do this so much better than her”. I think Pippa knows she’s probably better suited to the role than Kate.

I always thought Pippa was the star in the family and in their mothers eye, which probably left kate feeling very jealous of her. I think Kate’s desperate need for her mothers approval stems from her going the distance and bagging William. Her sister failed to bag a title which probably pleases kate, because she values titles and status over actual happiness.

Also I don’t think the sisters are as close as they once were. Remember in the infamous Tatler article, there was shade thrown at Pippa and how she’s so ‘jealous of kate and in her shadow’. Lol I think that line came directly from keen herself, cos we all know how she love to reverse the real situation.

      • Lyds says:

I, for one, do NOT get this Pippa love. I mean, from what I remember, her entertainment book was dull as after-party dishwater and chock full of inane advice that even Buzzfeed wouldn’t touch. Then when she “tried” to parlay her 15 minutes, people were like, nah. She is literally Kate 2.0 in terms of charm and charisma; she landed where she should’ve: in some rich enclave a healthy distance away from the public eye.

      • Becks1 says:

@Lyds – its not “Pippa love.” Not one person has said that she seems amazing, or wonderful, or that they would like to be her friend.

We’re comparing her to Kate, and yes, she does work harder than Kate, even if it just comes to parlaying her 15 minutes of fame, and Pippa does seem to have more personality.

      • Deputy Dot says:

I remember reading something about Mumbles wanting to appoint Pippa as her Lady in Waiting but was told she couldn’t. I’m now wondering if it was in fact her sister who told her where to get off as she didn’t want to be McButtons’ servant.

      • liri says:

Pippa tried royalty but probably couldn’t get it and now moved on with 2 kids lots of money and connections. She get to chose what a life to lead. Kate doesn’t. But it’s surprising they separated that much.

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

Not a surprise that KKKhate is seething. In a video of her recent visit to a school, one of the kids was heard asking “what about Meghan and Harry?” Her keening body language changed abruptly, she quickly followed up with ‘what next?’ in her real accent. LOL

      • Kfg says:

Yeah that was a dismal performance. The kids were rolling their eyes and making fun of her hand flapping. She wants to be praised for half-assed work but somehow achieve the support MM gets. She’s so vapid and dull.

      • Myra says:

Her real accent slipped through? She must have been really pissed then. She reminds me of a malfunctioning Stepford wife whenever she is caught off-guard.

      • rea says:

What school visit? I would like to see if there are clips anywhere online to watch.

      • Tash says:

Yikes! Where is the child now? The Tower of London? 🙂

      • Roo says:

Ha! How old were those kids?

      • PoppedBubble says:

Wow. I rarely search for videos that aren’t directly linked (too lazy), but I had to see that. So obvious. So rude! She rolled her eyes!! And yes, there was a distinct change in her accent.

      • Pink Flamingo says:

Elizabeth Regina that is amazing 😂 Please tell me you have a link handy? I think it was you that recommended the vogue video where no one picks willy as their favorite royal too lol. If it was, you’re on a roll girl.

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

Pippa’s antics meant she was marginalized by the royal family before she even married her sort-of wealthy husband. But I bet Pippa would trade places with Kate in a heartbeat. Pippa chased any boy who stood to inherit a title, desperately. Status seemed to mean everything to her, and that’s one thing she doesn’t get with her marriage.

      • Becks1 says:

I dont think she would trade places with Kate at this point in time, if it meant being married to William. Like I think if she had three wishes from a genie she would probably pick getting a title as her first wish, lol – definitely duchess, she wouldn’t be afraid to ask for Princess of Wales though lol but with a different husband (its a genie, she can ask whatever she wants.)

But I do think that she probably looks at Kate’s life and looks at her life and knows who has the better deal. there’s a reason there have been rumors about Pippa “distancing” herself from Kate.

    • Delphine says:

I suspect that Kate has held a resentment toward Pippa since she stole the thunder at the Cambridge wedding with her backside. Which seemed very calculated on Pippa’s part.

    • liri says:

Totally. Pippa can be lazy can chose whatever. Kate can’t.

  2. Andrew's Nemesis says:

I wonder whom this ‘palace source’ is? If they’re legit – please keep posting; enquiring minds want to know!

    • Elizabeth Regina says:

I’m not sure if it’s true but it could be the beginning of Kate is the one to blame for Sussexit/battle of the brothers/concenrs over colour gate.

      • JT says:

Kate will absolutely be blamed for H&M leaving. Gotta protect the heir at all costs and it’s not like Carole and Uncle Hookers and Blow’s interviews helped. Those alone will be enough to pin it all on Kate.

      • Andrew's Nemesis says:

Could it have come from PWT, then, as a way to blacken Wiglet’s public reputation in the run-up to the divorce?

    • Alexandria says:

DU, Merricat, Becks, Lanne ‘fess up. One of you wrote this right? And then added the part about Kate debating to make it seem like the usual nonsense the rota rats indulge in. Well played 😂

      • Becks1 says:

LOLOL! It really does feel like this “reporter” was just lurking on here and just C&Ped our comments over the past few months/years haha.

      • lanne says:

tee hee! That would be a fun double life to live but alas. no.

      • Mrs.Krabapple says:

Kate “studied politics in school”? What does that mean, she took one Poli-Sci class in high school? LOL. We know she majored in art history, but can’t even hold a conversation with the queen on the royal art collection without looking like a fool (the Faberge eggs).

      • Christine says:

Honestly, it reads as if a copy/paste of the CB comment section (except the loved to argue about politics part)!!

      • BothSidesNow says:

@ Jaded, that was the most ridiculous comment made in the entire article!!!! Baldingham announced publicly that he and Kween Stalker never liked Meghan, so this is another lie on top of truths!!! I would not be surprised if JK is THE source!! He is trying so hard to dump her!!!

      • Delphine says:

I have zero doubt at all that whoever wrote that article has been on this site.

    • BothSidesNow says:

@ Andrew’s Nemesis, excellent!!! Very interesting move I might say!! I wouldn’t put it past Baldingham to plant these stories!! He is seeing the forrest through the trees now, and a divorce will be in the works before they bury TQ!!

  3. sue says:

“Kate studied politics at school and always enjoyed a good debate until she married into the royal family,” – that sounds like complete nonsense to me

    • Merricat says:

Lol, Kate can’t even get through a sentence, let alone a “good debate.”

    • BW says:

Ha. Kate can’t even read a prepared speech without her knees knocking together. There’s no way she ever did debates.

      • Tara says:

This is annoying because she has all the resources in the world yet refuses to use them. When I was working in corporate years ago, I completely mixed up my facts in a meeting with one of the directors because I was so nervous. I practiced and improved for next time without palace aids.

    • Anna says:

“always enjoyed a good debate” gave me a good laugh today. Like the one with dr Jill? That went so good!

    • Miranda says:

I don’t know, I could totally see Kate being one of those people who claims to love a good political debate, but thinks “debate” means “scream your simplistic, backwards, right-wing opinions as loudly as possible and rudely interrupt anyone who attempts a rebuttal”.

      You know, Fox News.

      • Alarmjaguar says:

        @Miranda – that’s exactly what I thought when I read that line.

      • Amy Too says:

I see it more as she doesn’t really have a lot of political opinions and she doesn’t really want to be out there sharing them, she’s just mad that she can’t do so even if she did want to, but Megan can. She wants the *option* to be politically outspoken so that she can decide on her own that no, she doesn’t actually care enough about anything to speak on it. She’s just mad that Meghan is allowed to do something she’s not allowed to do, even though she doesn’t want to do it.

      • Alexandria says:

The jazz hands please, don’t forget the jazz hands!

Now that I think about it, she does look like a news reader on Fox News but she needs subtitles.

      • Becks1 says:

@amyToo I sort of agree with you, and I also think that Kate just wants people to think that she has opinions, she has stances, she feels strongly about political issues, she would say things about them if she could, but she can’t, she must remain silent! If only she could speak her mind! then we would all understand how smart and well-read and knowledgeable she is.

        lol.

    • swirlmamad says:

Yeah, that line made me laugh. Sure, Jan.

    • BeanieBean says:

Yeah, ‘studied politics at school’? As in, she took a required civics class?

    • lanne says:

Total BS. Girl has no opinions, and said “how interesting” when told that Indian children are sometimes deliberately maimed so they can be more pitiful beggars. She has zero thoughts in her head that aren’t about her appearance.

    • MF1 says:

She was an Art History major. “Studied politics”? Yeah, okay. *eyeroll*

    • Nic919 says:

That line was pretty hilarious because one of the excuses for Kate to not have done anything during the dating years, including charity work, was that she didn’t want to be seen as too political. I mean the real reason was laziness, but kate and debating politics are diametrically opposed. She will act like the conservative housewife but that’s as political as she gets.

    • Dee says:

Kate would’ve been great at debate, now? Makes me think of Lady Catherine Debourgh. “If I had ever learnt, I should have been a great proficient.”

    • Over it says:

The only thing kate studied was William.

    • Harper says:

Kate is now interested in politics ONLY because Meghan started working on the paid family leave issue. This pathetic copying will never end.

    • The Recluse says:

I had an eyeroll so bad at that I darn near sprained my neck.

  4. Sofia says:

Geez, if Star is going to write this stuff, the least they can do is get basic facts accurate. Like what Kate studied. Because she didn’t study Politics at university, she studied Art History.

Edit: I see that they could mean studied politics as in she did a module on it at university or studied it at school but I doubt she got involved in the debates or that she actually cared much for it in general.

    • Becks1 says:

See that made me laugh bc I bet there is just enough truth there to make it plausible. Like if I told people that I studied physics in college bc I took one physics class for my lab science.

And it was astronomy, lol. Our “lab” was the planetarium. (I know astronomy is difficult as you get into it, but the entry level class was pretty basic.)

So my guess is Kate took one politics class at some point over the course of her university career and that has become “she studied politics.”

      • Merricat says:

There is no way anyone can convince me that Kate has ever participated in a meaningful discussion about anything.

      • Becks1 says:

Oh I’m not saying she took it seriously or was an active participant or whatever. Just that I figure she enrolled in one politics class so now she “studied politics” the same way I’m an astronomer, lol.

      • Merricat says:

Lol, no, I completely agree with your analysis! I was just making a general statement.

    • Jaded says:

She took a module called Backstabbing 101.

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

They don’t even say “college,” they say “school.” She could have been 14 years old when her class learned about civics. Just like I “studied” bio-medical science!

  5. Becks1 says:

    Yikes.

How’s that American takeover going Cambridges?

  6. ABC says:

Kate shows the typical signs of the trauma of being raised by a narcissistic mother, where being yourself is never safe but actually life threatening and where you have to copy and be perfect and pretend to be accepted all the time. Being herself is something she simply doesn’t know how to do and I doubt she has the awareness of what happened to her to actually go and get professional help to work through it. She will simply continue this cycle of abuse

    • LaraW” says:

“Kate shows the typical signs of the trauma of being raised by a narcissistic mother, where being yourself is never safe but actually life threatening and where you have to copy and be perfect and pretend to be accepted all the time.”

I don’t think Carole is a narcissistic mother so much as an overbearing one. You could argue that Kate was groomed to chase after William, but I believe Pippa was also raised the same way, to the point where I think (correct me if I’m wrong) the sisters were competing for William. Kate’s life was never threatened. She was an enthusiastic participant in her ambitions for her tiara.

“Being herself is something she simply doesn’t know how to do and I doubt she has the awareness of what happened to her to actually go and get professional help to work through it. She will simply continue this cycle of abuse.”

She knew how to “be herself” when she was chasing after William, and she knew how to “be herself” when she attempted to ice out Rose, and she knew how to “be herself” when she had Harry’s attention. Kate is a grown-ass women. And she definitely knew how to “be herself” when she decided to participate in this campaign to malign Meghan. Don’t put everything on her mother. It’s another form of infantilizing Kate.

Kate is facing the consequences of her actions. As you said, she could take a step back and decide to get some therapy, but instead she channels her energy on continuing this one-sided war against Meghan.

    • salmonpuff says:

I agree completely, ABC. The whole family dynamic screams narcissistic mother, with Kate as the golden child, James as the scapegoat and Pippa as the also-ran. I also come from a narcissism-affected family and was the oldest daughter, and I recognize a lot of Kate’s behaviors as coping mechanisms. When I started therapy, one of the first things I had to do was make lists of things I like, and it was HARD. I had no idea because I’d been raised to reflect my parents’ likes and dislikes and goals in life. I constantly mimicked the style, manner and habits of people I admired because I was so used to being a blank slate.

Kate then chose to marry into a narcissistic institution — probably because it felt familiar — and has not had any opportunity, encouragement or inclination to get therapy. I’m not excusing her for her many flaws — she’s an adult with children of her own and needs to get herself together — but I unfortunately get where she’s coming from.

      • Andrew's Nemesis says:

Ditto, SalmonPuff. I also had to make a list early on in my therapy sessions, and found it near impossible. Life revolved around my alcoholic covert narcissist father, his needs, his wants, his pain, his interests, his hangups. After I split from a grandiose narcissist ex, I felt as if I were starting from absolute zero: everything that made me ‘me’ had been sloughed away. I don’t think it is infantilising to say the same of Kate. She’s been the obedient golden child her whole life, her likes and dislikes dictated wholly by Mrs Bennet. The damage that narcissists do to character development cannot be understated.

      • ABC says:

Salmopuff, I come from a narcisstic family (I was the scapegoat, and just like James suffer from depression as a result) and once you know the pattern, it’s so clear to see. The narcissist (Carole), the enabler (Mike), the scape goat (James), the golden child (Pippa, there are so many stories how she was the outgoing and popular one as a child), the Codependent one (Kate). I still hold Kate responsible for her truly awful behavior, this is just the attempt of an explanation how textbook her behavior of copying other women is

      • Nick G says:

ABC, Salmonpuff, Andrew’s Nemesis, I agree 1000%. As a daughter of a narcissist and an enabler, I predict when those children of hers grow up, there’s going to be an incredible identity crisis. All this keen interest in children and early years I feel has to do more with being a mother now, rather than an authentic interest in little ones.

      • Demi says:

what’s weird is that she’s almost 40 but the way she acts like a little girl still and it’s obvious she has no agency over any aspect of her life..

      • salmonpuff says:

I’m sorry there are so many of us. Hugs to you, Andrew’s Nemesis, ABC, Nick G and all others recovering.

      • Gina says:

Agreed, this is all Carol. Kate spent her life being groomed by her mother for this. She didn’t know any better until it was too late.

      • BothSidesNow says:

I wish I could every single one of you a virtual hug!!!! ABC, Nick G, Lara W. and salmonpuff as well!! I too grew up in an extremely dysfunctional family!! It’s hell recovering from it. Therapy and lots of therapy!! It’s brutal to work through and you hope you will survive!!

      • February-Pisces says:

Kate has a narcissistic mother who’s desperate for status, but also a narcissistic husband who has never heard the word “no” before. Kate is desperate to be loved, accepted and validated by both of them.

Her main competition for her mothers affection is her sister. Ma middleton is literally Lynne Spears, except Britney knew exactly what her mother was like a long time ago, Kate doesn’t see it yet.

For her husband, it’s literally every woman he wants to hook up with, which is basically every woman he meets. It explains why she has such a dysfunctional relationship with women. But she needs to realise that you can never win the love and respect of a narcissist, they are incapable of it. They only want to use and exploit you for their own benefit until you are no longer any use to them.

  7. rawiya says:

I should have read this issue. It all reads like truth to me! I wonder who this insider is? (Let’s be real: any of us could have written this. No insider needed, just common sense.)

  8. Indica says:

I somewhat feel for her. I bet her mother raised her just to catch a wealthy man and that’s … her personality. She never learned what she likes or doesn’t like, she just learned how to get married rich.
And I bet her mother set her sights on William without understanding that being a princess isn’t staying in the castle these days, she’s expected to be out and about and have interests. But she doesn’t have any, so… she’s stuck. She’s her mother’s creation but she doesn’t know who she is. I also don’t think she’s that bright, as much as we’re told she is.

    • LaraW” says:

Her mother had a big role in her upbringing, but Kate is not her mother’s creation. She’s a f-ckin adult who made choices that have led her to her situation now. I guarantee you that if Harry had married Cressida or some other “English Rose,” Kate would be fine.

So many people have shared their stories on this site on how they were able to leave toxic parents, spouses, other situations, under circumstances much more dangerous and difficult than Kate.

Kate CHOSE THIS. She WANTED the wealth, social standing, and glamour that came with being part of the RF. She had every opportunity during the TEN YEARS she waited to stop and think “actually, I really like rowing with the girls, I think I’ll spend more time with them,” instead of using it as a ploy to get William back. She loved the clubbing, the jet setting, not working, wearing expensive clothes and going to exclusive parties. I would even bet money that some in aristo or new money set would have been willing to marry her— she certain used plenty of men to make William jealous.

She was not a child bride forced into marriage with some man 30 years older than her. She grew up with the story of Diana. She had plenty of opportunities to find a different path. She decided not to take them.

      • equality says:

I’m not sure Kate would have been okay with H marrying anybody. I think she wanted him around as the third wheel to pay attention to her. I wonder if she saw him as her backup option if Will ever dumped her.

      • Margaret says:

        @LARAW

I disagree kate would not be happy with any woman that got harry. There would probably be a different type of leaking and smearing. Kate is a mean girl, all men belong to her, I have met her type over the years.
I have to sympathy for her whats so ever, she will survive in the cesspool of her making.

      • lanne says:

Cressida would have been a disaster for Kate. She was an aristo, younger, beautiful (more beautiful than Kate by their English Rose blah blah standards). Cressida probably wouldn’t have been allowed to marry Harry. Harry needed to marry a Fergie 2.0. Not an aristo, but an aristo-adjacent. MAYBE a plus-sized model from a middle class family who could have body shamed and perhaps slut shamed as well. A groveling doormat who would make mistakes and never, ever, draw attention from Da KWEEEEEEENNNN!!!!

What a miserable lot. I hope that the kids are being raised mostly by nannies so they can have some semblance of love and stability. I think the only people Kate really care about are her mother and her husband (she’s desperate to please them both). And herself. The powdered shell of herself, which is all the self she seems to have.

      • Nic919 says:

No one made Kate snub Harry and Meghan at the commonwealth service. She did that on her own. Plus her comments about doing the lion king presentation were knowingly said to condemn that Meghan chose not to do that. And those are just a few examples of kate actively choosing to target her sister in law.

She’s 40 in about a month and it’s time to stop providing her with excuses for her poor behaviour. She was okay with her sister in law being suicidal while pregnant and to this day has not apologized or even explained how the false crying story made it to the press.

      • LaraW” says:

@Equality, Margaret, and Lanne— I agree that Kate would have hated anyone, including Cressida, that Harry married. But I don’t think Kate would be this upset and obsessed. A lot of things would be different— Harry wouldn’t have left the UK. He likely would have loved his wife, but not to the same extent as he loves Meghan. The RF would’ve been able to conduct business as usual, continuing to throw Harry under the bus, continuing to have the BM embiggen William and Kate at Harry and his wife’s expense. And we would still have operated under the happy assumption that the RF is “very much not racist.”

The RF’s reputation is in tatters. They MUST know this to some extent. Meghan has everything Kate was supposed to have. If Harry had married an aristo, Kate would have another set of problems, but those problems would be things she could manage and manipulate. And she’d always be able to pull her ultimate trump card: that she will be queen someday.

        @Nic919– I agree 100%.

      • notasugarhere says:

Agreed, LaraW and Nic919. Kate is no victim.

      • Tessa says:

Kate would have IMO been discontent if Cressida had joined the family (I don’t think Harry was all that serious about her), since Isabella Calthorpe, Cressida’s half sister, was the object of William’s affection. I think that would have been a source of discomfort.

      • Tara says:

I agree that Kate has zero ambition, however, she would have projected her insecurities onto any girl Harry married. Reading this thread actually makes me wonder if the toxic dynamic between W&K and Harry is why Chelsy broke up with him.

    • Anna says:

That’s also how I see Kate. I pity her and understand why she’s like that but also she’s an adult and could change a little bit if she wanted to.
I saw many friends “escaping” overbearing and narcissistic parents when we all went to university and moved to another city – some of them were really escaping and went through a couple of years of being lost, making many mistakes before they found out who they were because they had no chance to do that at home. Kate went from one oppression to even worst and that I don’t envy.

      • Kfg says:

She did hate Cressida. She picked at her and was rude. She was mean to every woman around Harry. She and Pippa were called the wisteria sisters and the aristos did not like them. Kate was horrible to the other girls around and was a pick me. Kates the type of woman who sets other women up to be harmed.

      • Tessa says:

She also was not nice to Chelsy according to various accounts. I read that she told Chelsy to “expect cheating” since she was dating a royal man. Not very nice.

      • Nic919 says:

She was mean to the York girls who are years younger than her and not competition for William’s attention. She and Pippa were six years older than Beatrice and Eugenie and they still thought it was fine to be mean to teen girls when they were in their 20s.

      • Tara says:

@Tessa Kate allegedly also tried to give Chelsy fashion advice, claiming it would prevent Harry from cheating.

And I agree with the user above re: Cressida. I always thought she and Harry were more FWB.

  9. Harla says:

Wow! I don’t think that I’ve ever seen a truer article written about the Future, future queen.

    • Becks1 says:

Mainly I just love that this tabloid is calling her out for copying Meghan’s style.

      • L84Tea says:

I love it too. Initially it was just one or two looks she stole, but Kate’s gotten so brazen about it lately with stealing looks AND hairstyles, that you could fill up a notebook.

      • Harper says:

Kate carries the notebook too, now.

    • Jaded says:

And great shade on Kate by calling Meghan “her formerly close sister-in-law”. Here, let me correct that for you:

“Her formerly despised sister-in-law that she and William chased out of England”.

      • notasugarhere says:

No ‘formerly’ about the despised. W&K (and the Middletons) hated Meghan from the start.

  10. The Hench says:

Hahahahahahahahaha. *wipes eyes*. I really want to believe every part of this story but then they go and claim that Kate is interested in politics and resents not being able to state her point of view. Mmmm. Somehow I doubt that.

  11. sunny says:

“Formerly close sister-in-law”- all the lols. Do they mean close as in geographic proximity?

These women were never close and that is ok- they are very very different people(one has compassion, work ethic and a brain, the other is Kate). Kate has been single white femal-ing Meghan for years so why this story now? It seems like strange timing.

  12. girl_ninja says:

I saw this while going through the grocery for last minute Thanksgiving shopping and I cackled. All that copykeening (thanks for that Kaiser) and nothing to show for it stateside. And isn’t that the goal of the Keen-Willnots to conquer the U.S. with their “charm” and royalness?

  13. MY3CENTS says:

Apart from some silly fiction about Kate having opinions and wanting to express them I actually quite enjoyed this.
Seething & Incandescent ,Christmas is going to be lots of fun at the Doolittle’s this year.

  14. Merricat says:

Yeah, I don’t think there was ever a moment when Kate tried to take Meghan “under her wing.”

  15. Jan says:

When she visited the school last week, she asked a question and a kid replied Harry and Meghan, she was not thrilled, and she wasn’t asking her fake accent as much.
Apparently the classroom is used for French classes and they had to turn it into an Art room very quickly.
I’m surprised when she was leaving that the students didn’t stand up, they looked so bored.

    • Jais says:

Those kids seemed pretty unimpressed and bewildered by the whole visit.

      • Nyro says:

They couldn’t wait to see the back of her. Big “why are you even here” energy from the kiddos. It’s exactly what she deserves.

      • Mrs.Krabapple says:

Kids always look bored an uninterested around Kate. I don’t know how she managed to convince the public that she’s “good with kids.” Or even that she’s a “good mother.” We know nothing about her parenting, other than staged photos of her with her children. It just shows how easy it is for us to judge a person (for good or bad) based on photos. And that makes it easy for celebrities like the royal family to manipulate people’s view of them.

      • OriginalLala says:

Her face when the words H&M are mentioned! and her actual accent coming out, wow, she must have been seething to drop her facade like that

      • Lady Digby says:

Miaow revealing or what? If all they have to bond over is hatred of Meghan after a twenty year relationship then that is sad.

      • Merricat says:

Lol all day for this, thanks!

      • Eating Popcorn says:

        Priceless! Thank you for sharing!

      • Becks1 says:

        What. Else.

Wow. She really did slip there, didn’t she?

      • Cate says:

God if she was just openly this catty all the time, I’d probably at least find her interesting lmao.

      • JT says:

Reason number fifty-leven why Kate will be blamed for Sussexit. This moment, the Lilibet question, and her commonwealth behavior will be used as evidence of Kate being the problem. Most of the royals know how to maintain themselves even with an uncomfortable moment, but Kate’s mask always slips and it will be her downfall.

      • Nyro says:

Somebody said Kate turned into Miss Hannigan . 😂

      • Wiglet Watcher says:

Wow nyro thank you for the link!

That was a peek behind the curtain. The hatred is real.

      • TabithaD says:

Remember how she reacted at the Dr Biden round table when one of the press asked about Lilibet? She really hates the Sussexes and it’s her weak spot – she absolutely can’t hide it. It was the same thing here.

      • notasugarhere says:

IMO she hates Meghan but not Harry. She longs for Harry to return as third wheel/buffer and only royal man who might speak to her.

      • Carmen says:

She’s getting dragged all over Twitter for that eye roll.

  16. myjobistoprincess says:

ahhhhhh it feels so good to have gossip from the other side!

  17. Fairychild says:

Has anyone seen the clip of Kate rolling her eyes and tersely saying, “WHAT ELSE?” when the kids at the school she went to asked about Harry and Meghan (see xxposhslosh89 on Instagram)? She couldn’t even hide her annoyance! I was initially surprised but it’s not the first time she’s been publicly caught being catty – like the time she made a face when the reporter asked her about meeting Lilibet.

    • swirlmamad says:

LMAO just checked out the clip….what a bitch.

      • Fairychild says:

It’s something, isn’t it? The media was up in arms about Meghan being a bully behind the scenes when Princess Protocol can’t even keep her mask up in front of kids! “You said that twice.” How rude!

    • Merricat says:

Gee, I hope she hasn’t negatively impacted those children’s Early Years.

    • Beach Dreams says:

LOL, and some people STILL try to downplay her role in the smear campaign against Meghan. Kate is a bitter and jealously competitive person and always has been. Think about it: she’s never been number one for anyone/anything but her mother…and I think we can amend that to “her mother’s ambitions”. I think that fact explains a lot about why she’s such an unpleasant individual. She actively chooses to be like this.

      • Nic919 says:

The second part of the documentary shows a graph charting how negative articles about Meghan increased significantly once the fake crying story was published. Kate still hasn’t apologized for the lie. Kate is heavily involved in the smear against Meghan.

  18. superashes says:

Wouldn’t it be great if what actually happened was someone in charge at Star took a look across the pond and said “you want to play like that? Fine, its on mf-ers”

  19. KW says:

Royal source? Hi Jason? Did the cheque bounce honey? Whoops. Also, side note, Kate got a glam squad for that James Bond premiere? LOL. Did she copy Mrs. Roper because that hair style is old school in a bad way and the dress looks like a caftan. Kate Kan’t Kope. That’s about it.

    • Gabby says:

      Mrs. Roper OMG. Coffee everywhere.

    • Nyro says:

OMG. Yes, she was giving the bad side of the 70s with that gold look. I I thought she looked like the wife of a mob adjacent 1970s Vegas politician on her way to some kind of shady fundraiser at a hotel on the strip. LOL

    • Jaded says:

She looked like a game show hostess a la Vanna White.

      • HeatherC says:

Except Vanna can carry some big looks. In the 80s she definitely had to. She, on the other hand, cannot.

  20. swirlmamad says:

I haven’t bought a newsstand gossip mag in years, but I think I’m gonna buy this issue just to prove a point. LOL

  21. Amy Bee says:

I mean Star hit some of the obvious points but then goes overboard about Kate and Meghan being close or that Kate has an interest in politics. But gist of the article are true, Kate is cosplaying Meghan and was jealous of her.

  22. mariahlee says:

I was shocked to see a US tabloid not framing Meghan as the big bad wolf for once. I would be capable of indifference toward Kate if it weren’t for her apparent obsession with Meghan. Like, it wasn’t enough for her to re-brand herself on the back of the smear campaign against Meghan, but now she has to co-opt her look/work approach/even words sometimes? It’s creepy and sadistic, particularly in the detail orientation. Someone on twitter noted the similarity between the hue of red she wore to her recent school visit and Meg’s Harlem school visit look, and by itself it’s not notable, but it’s clearly indicative of a pattern of behavior. She’s a stalker.

  23. Laura-Lee says:

I think this is funny, for sure, but the phrasing “domineering” in the magazine copy sets my teeth on edge. Honestly, the misogyny in a magazine whose audience is WOMEN. “Driven” is what they used for two men, I’m sure. Sigh. Back to coffee. So much ranting for so early. Lololol

  24. Cate says:

A “whole glam squad” at this point is like sprinkling glitter on a pile of steaming… you know. The personality, skills, charisma etc aren’t there and no blow dries can summon them.

If she’d let (or been allowed to let) the relationship run it’s natural course, she wouldn’t be in this position – she could have had a rich minor aristo and been happy. Reaping what you sow is always in style, Kate.

  25. WithTheAmerican says:

Yeah the star is trash but YAAAASSSS I am so here for that. Bill and Kate think they’ve got the media under their thumb?

Hi, from America. Things aren’t going to be so pretty from now on.

  26. Kat says:

I hope she really is jealous as hell of Megan. She deserves all the karma she gets.

  27. BeanieBean says:

It’s kinda hilarious to suggest that a woman living in a palace, with a mansion in the countryside, would be jealous of a woman because she lives in a mansion in California. I mean, really?

    • Bendy Windy says:

I don’t find that odd. The first three rules of real estate come into play: location, location, location. A palace sounds great until you realize it’s a drafty old building in England where it’s dreary and cold for much of the year. Then you figure that CA, at least Harry and Meghan’s area, has a warm climate year round and they still live in a huge beautiful home? I can totally see jealousy. I mean, we think that because she lives a lavish life there aren’t things she would change, but it is human nature to envy things you don’t have and to chafe under the things you do, even if they’re objectively good things. You’re happy to have them, but wouldn’t it be nice if…

For example, I love my house. I love my community. I don’t love the drive to the beach. I know I have a great life, but I still sometimes think “I wish I could just pick up my town and plop it down an hour from the beach.”

    • Beach Dreams says:

Uh…yes really. A palace that has staff swarming around and is partially open to the public is not exactly the most homey place, even with the amount of space that she and Will occupy. Diana herself felt a keen sense of isolation there. Anmer Hall offers far more privacy but it’s also not as impressive compared to other homes in the neighborhood (hello Houghton Hall) and the Norfolk elites that she considered her people have made it clear that she’s never going to be good enough for them. Not to mention it’s pretty far from her family, and they seem to be the only people who don’t disdain her at this point. So she gets the joy of shuttling between a palace where there are too many eyes and ears, and a country mansion in an area where her husband’s social circle barely tolerate her.

      • JT says:

Nothing about Kate’s life is something to be envious of. She looks miserable most times and with a husband and in laws like that, there is no way in hell that she’s a ball of sunshine behind closed doors. I’d take H&M’s life in a heartbeat as they are living better than the royals without all of the bs. Living in castles with a country home on the side doesn’t mean you’re happy.

    • Lady Digby says:

Well Meghan has 16 bathrooms and maybe Kate only has 15!

  28. Layla says:

I came across this on Twitter
It’s. A video from Instagram. (xxposhslosh89) Just watch. If you weren’t sure before, The reaction in this video says it all
Basically, it’s from the school event (the one where she copykeened again lol) and it’s a video of her talking to the kids and she mumbled something about talking about feelings and one of the kids responded (and you can hear this clearly) “like Harry and Meghan” and her reaction was to roll her eyes, turn to the girl and say “wHat eLsE” and smile like a sociopath. If this doesn’t confirm all the bs from the last three years I don’t know what does. This proves (for me at least) she defo made Meghan cry at some point

    • Fairychild says:

Yup! We’re talking about it upthread and folks on Twitter are having a chuckle about it. Where are all the DM/Express/Sun articles about this?? They wouldn’t dare!

  29. AmelieOriginal says:

You have to wonder whose style she was emulating during the pandemic in 2020. I understand just wearing comfy clothes at home in lockdown but she went out several times in public in Little House on the Prairie/Sister Wives dresses like she was the member of a conservative Christian cult. Those dresses seem to be gone now that social distancing and masks seem to be a thing of the past in the UK (hello omicron variant!) but I guess it makes sense because Meghan and Harry were virtually invisible in 2020 relocating and figuring out what they were doing so she had no one to copy during that time.

    • Lemons says:

I bet it was Rose (or some Norfolk Turnip Toffs) who maybe has a small collection of prairie dresses to go with her long hair, so Kate thought she would buy ALL of the dresses thinking that it would make her better than her or fit in amongst the other aristos. But she forgets that they don’t work and her dresses were not appropriate as workwear.

  30. Lizzie Bathory says:

The jealousy & copykeening, sure, that’s about Kate. But the rest? The desire to be able to express political opinions, the bitterness about Netflix & Spotify deals? That is 100% about William. Substitute William for Kate & Harry for Meghan in most of the piece & you get a more accurate picture.

The curious thing is that the author chose to spin this as Kate versus Meghan, up to & including suggesting Kate is an unhinged cyberstalker. Many of us here have predicted that at the end of the day, Kate would be blamed for the fallout from Sussexit. I guess William will get Jason Knauf in the divorce.

    • Tara says:

:William will get Jason Knauf in the divorce” LOL

You’re totally right. All William has to say is something like “Kate was jealous of Meghan, she was so vindictive that it caused my brother to leave. His move to California put a strain on our relationship, I’ve been struggling without him, blah blah blah…”

Bonus points if William confirms that Kate didn’t really have HG. I in no way want to accuse anyone of lying about such a serious condition, however it’s interesting how she made it to all the fun events but none of the “real work” ones.

  31. Over it says:

Who are these people trying to kid? Kate has no backbone or personality. Hence why she is a step Ford doormat
I do however believe she is a stalking obsessive, aggressive B who is big mad that Meghan got the man that Kate still to this day believes belongs to her

  32. Brittney L Buckley says:

“… for everything other than Meghan’s heart, compassion, intelligence or work ethic”

    THIS.

  33. Marcel says:

Ever since reading reports about BRF Christmas weigh ins I just feel sorry for Kate. I don’t respect her because she at best enables racist attacks against Meghan and at worst is actively weaponising her white privilege against Meghan. Plus a lot of her comments about childhood feel like she’s shaming poor people and families that aren’t heteronormative.
Like I’d assume that she’s jealous of Meghans freedom. Even if she’s in denial about her & William being popular with a much smaller demographic.
I hope one day Kate chooses kindness and integrity and offers Meghan the same grace publicly that Meghan gave to her. (ie in the Oprah interview Meghan made a point of saying Kate apologised to her after making her cry. And that Meghan wasn’t interested in needless comparisons between her & Kate.)

I also agree with the commenters above- Kate was born into a dysfunctional family and then married into a narcissist institution. I hope she decides to go to therapy one day. But I sincerely doubt that the BRF would support that decision.

    • Gina says:

@Marcel I doubt Kate is jealous of Meghan’s freedom, or wants to have the option to be engaged in political debates and so on.
Kate is simply jealous of Meghan because she feels she is losing in comparison. Losing badly. I have to confess I’ve never noticed how dull, shallow and antipathetic Kate is before Meghan has arrived.
So, Meghan has a lot of better things in life: better husband, better style, better hair, better weather, not to mention the ability to connect with people, personality, skills, charisma, friends and the list is going. And this bi-racial divorced American has all that and not Kate, the English Rose.
Of cause Kate hates Meghan. Also it seems she is very unkind person. So, I I wouldn’t count on the possibility KKKate will have the change of heart and shows Mehan some kindness and respect. Thankfully, Meghan doesn’t need her kindness now. It would have been helpful more than 2 years ago, when Meghan was pregnant and then new mom. Not now.

      • Marcel says:

I don’t think Meghan needs Kate’s kindness. I think Kate would grow as a person if she faced her racism and decided to unlearn it. And that character growth will show publicly by her being gracious to Meghan, Lilibet & Archie. Like idk I still think it’s wild that not one single royal came out to defend Archie after he was compared to a monkey by a journalist on twitter.
I don’t think Kate will work on her racism mostly the BRF/ institution is built on and profits from racism.
I still think Kate is jealous of Meghans relative freedom. She only has to do press & public duties when she wants to. Plus Harry is happy for Meghan to take the lead in interviews etc… Whereas I’m sure William’s fragile ego couldn’t even handle the possibility of Kate outshining him for three minutes.

It’s pretty clear from Kate’s shallow understanding of childhood learning etc… that she’s pressured into press about the Early Years. She’s expected to have a cause and went through with that as opposed to sports which she seems genuinely passionate about.

I do wonder if Kate is experiencing sunken cost fallacy. Like she’s put so much time & resources in securing the role of future that she has to become queen for all her efforts to count.

  34. Ainsley says:

Maybe it’s just the pictures used, but Kate is looking haggard!

    • Lady Digby says:

Her bitterness is showing, Meghan’s husband worships her whereas her husband doesn’t love her and doesn’t even bother to hide either boredom or irritation.

  35. FrodoOrOdo says:

I’m supposed to believe that this flake who chose the slim possibility of a royal marriage over a career, even a casual one, hobbies, and interests is totally mad that she’s not permitted to have a public opinion or do meaningful work?

    Pfft.

Look, the only part of that family leave letter business Kate is jealous of are the headlines and attention it generated.

If Meghan was allowed all this freedom to work and have opinions, Kate could have used that to her advantage to work with Meghan to further her own efforts and interests and simply used her power to defend Meghan while the two of them got things done behind the scenes. But Kate doesn’t want to work. She wants attention. And so here we are.

    • sunny says:

      Your analysis here is excellent.

    • lanne says:

If she wanted to do meaningful work, she would have done work 20 years ago. She has done no work. ever.

    • A says:

She’s just angry bc Meghan gets to do something that she can’t, and Meghan gets praised for it. That’s what Kate wants–adulation.

Remember that Richard Kay article from way back when, where he talked about how the “Fab Four” were on stage together, and Meghan quickly put Kate to shame with how well-spoken she was, and how Kate’s never gotten over that? That’s essentially what this is. Kate can’t stand to be stood up by someone who’s better at her than anything. Everyone needs to dim their lights to make her shine.

  36. Bettyrose says:

I’m not about checking in with Star to get the real facts, but everything here checks out. It’s all pretty obvious to anyone even lightly observing the situation.

But IDK if Pippa made good choices or just lucked out. Seems like she’d be trapped in a passionless marriage to a duke if she’d had her way. No question she got a much better deal though and probably thanks her lucky stars every day.

  37. nina says:

That hat really does not go with her Salvation Army uniform.

  38. What says:

This is all about what has been wisphered for years coming to the forefront of the news. Kate was at first regarded as the next Diana but the British press quickly stopped calling her so. Kate was at first regarded as a fashionista until they saw Meghan and both Harry and Kate had to up their game 😂. Kate was first the only woman until Meghan came along and took not only Harry but made Will and the British press realize how lacking Kate really is. If you look at Piers Morgan last column in the daily fail-look at the very last line- the one where he stated he wanted to vomit over the Ellen interview. The last line states that Meghan got the better deal. She got everything she wanted. Of all people to express that he did.
Dan Wooten saying she’s copying Megan-why cause Meghan changed the game and it was necessary to compete. Why because Meghan is really Diana 2.0 with a husband to this day people will say they’d rather hang with Harry over Will. Kate is realizing that all she can do is copy cause what else does she have. Her expression is genuine cause she’s heard that before

  39. ChattyCath says:

Those palaces are far from fairytale. Buckingham Palace is full of asbestos panels and probably was last decorated following bombs dropped in the War. The public only sees selected ‘opulence’. And there’s no chance of a friendly chat like I have with my lady who cleans. She’s an equal. The isolating feeling and ‘protocol ‘ would send me mad. I’d far rather have a life in Montecito with that beach. Sad thing is apart from Covid the Cambridge’s could have been welcome guests. Kate is visibly shrivelling

    • lanne says:

I’ve heard the palaces described as the interiors of 2nd rate hotels that have gone to seed. Nothing in the pictures suggests opulence. Living in one of the royal palaces is basically living in a museum. Museums are great to visit, but who wants to live in one (maybe the Met, like in the movie the Hideaways, which I loved as a child!)? Even the white house doesn’t seem like a great place to live.

    • notasugarhere says:

She wasted 7+ million in refurbishing their 50 room space at Kensington Palace, with several additional millions coming out of the Duchy for decor. Other millions were spent on Anmer, ripping out the 50,000 gourmet kitchen and all the historic fireplace mantles. Kate isn’t living in some drafty 12th century stone keep.

    • MelOn says:

Either Kensington or Buckingham Palace has mice. I think the Obamas saw them when they were there. Shudders…

  40. Lila says:

If Kate is jealous, I doubt it’s about being able to express political opinions. I don’t think that Kate has an opinion on much of anything, aside from where their next vacation should be. What I do think she’s jealous of:
    -a loving husband
-not being accountable to the press
    -making her own schedule
    -happiness

  41. jbyrdku says:

“Who wouldn’t say no to living in a $14 million dollar mansion in Montecito…” I think that should read “Who wouldn’t say yes to living in a $14 million dollar mansion in Montecito…

  42. Lizzie says:

Bill was basically over Cathy by the wedding but was out of options. Meghan showed him what a mistake he made settling for Cathy. I think they both resented Meghan. Bill for what he should have held out for and Cathy because she is lacking in every way. I’m so glad to see the obvious come to light.

  43. Rapunzel says:

Eh…I think it’s Will that’s the real dysfunctional one. Kate is obviously copying women that he’s attracted to in order to keep his interest. That sounds like a wife trying to keep a marriage from falling apart. I don’t fault Kate for that. She’s got three kids and will get crucified in the press if he leaves her, so of course she wants to keep it together. It’s sad and desperate cause it’s not working. But IDK about dysfunctional.

I’m also not sure I’d call the Middletons a dysfunctional family. The Windsors are far worse. The Midds seem pretty normal- social climbing, vain and a little codependent, but there’s far too much unity and commitment to their grift to be dysfunctional, imo.

The Cambridge marriage is failing due to Will, not due to Kate or her upbringing. I think he’s made their marriage dysfunctional, and the way she’s clearly unhappy and wasting away, I think it is pretty clear she’s feeling his psychological issues.

Kate has been copying other women in William’s life for 20 years, not just since the wedding. She chose to do anything she could, including being called ‘sex waiting’ by William himself to secure the title and postion. I have absolutely no sympathy for her. She chose this route and life from age 14 on.

Raising three dysfunctional adolescent adults incapable of making their own way in the world? I wouldn’t call the Middletons normal, more like co-dependent.

      • Tessa says:

I remember she copied the way Jecca dressed in the “Outback” hats. She wore exactly the same hat Jecca wore when they both attended the same wedding (she was some years from being engaged to William.).

    • Tessa says:

Kate is not without fault. She sat back and let Meghan take the blame for the crying story. Kate could have denied the story to the media. She didn’t. Also the Middletons are not “normal.” Kate never had to support herself even though she waited years for the ring. She had very very sporadic part time employment and left Jigsaw less than a year later.

      • Nic919 says:

The false crying story helped set up the narrative against Meghan in the media that exists to this day. Kate has a lot to answer for that and yet still she is silent on apologizing for the false story.

I don’t disagree with you that the Midds are actually the far healthier family between them and the Windsors. I imagine they’re a much better, healthier, closer-knit family than pretty much any aristocratic family out there, tbh. However, they shun their common, middle-class background, until they can conveniently trot it out to suit their narrative. They act like worse, pearl-clutching snobs than even the most hoitiest of aristocrats, and that, to me, makes them hypocritical and spineless.

There’s a reason why they get more anger for their social climbing than even the most craven and ruthless of aristocrats who’ve offered up their daughters for fortune and opportunities, and it’s bc they try so hard to pretend like they’re not that way at all, when really, they’re just lying and assuming that everyone will accept their lies. They squirrel away the truth, bc the reality, is they’re actually deeply ashamed of where they come from. It’s a matter of great shame for them to be so nakedly ambitious. You don’t get to tell me you’re proud of being solid, middle-class, and normal, when you take elocution lessons on how to speak like a posh person from a cousin of the Duke of Richmond, Lennox and Gordon. Show off your middle-class accent and tell the truth, or stfu and gtfo.

And yes, Kate is the one trying to keep the marriage together, but why should she? Why does she want to waste away her life for this man? Again, she fronts like she has so much pride in being normal and middle-class. What normal, middle-class woman of her generation would accept this arrangement for themselves? Aristocratic women would, and still do, bc they care more for money, titles and clout than they do for peasant things like happiness and being well-adjusted. Diana flouted all that, chose herself, her freedom, and her happiness, and people LOVED her for precisely those things. She had the added advantage of being great at manipulating press coverage to be favourable to her. But Kate, if she chose to stay true to herself, doesn’t need to care about that. The moment she decides to be honest and forthright in terms of how she deals with her life, the need for positive press coverage would cease, bc she’d have the truth on her side. But she’s not capable of that, and that, to me, is the dysfunction she brings to her marriage.

Speaking of their failing marriage, is that why Kate wasn’t included in the Prince Philip documentary? Maybe William is so embarrassed he’s trying to minimize how much she speaks. I mean, even Princess Anne’s husband was included in the documentary…

    Examples of Kate copying Meg
    Kate now wears vega sneakers
    Kate now touches her hair
Kate wears Meg engagement heels when she was with the queen and Camilla and the queen cut the cake with the sword. She has no original thoughts since she bought the exact shoe
Kate wears pants now on official engagements
That’s only a few- which ones can you think of

    • HeatherC says:

Kate has touched her hair before. Remember when she twirled her sausage curls at Remembrance Day or some other solemn occasion?

  45. Ameerah says:

This all rings true except for the part about Kate having been politically active in college and being jealous that she can’t be now. Lol. Kate has NEVER cared about politics or anything that doesn’t directly affect her.

Not even a whiff of irony

Her face has been telling us this all along. Bitter, jealous and seething.

This whole article is hee-LARIOUS. I love it. I’m sure Star magazine doesn’t have any real sources within any royal family, but like, you can just IMAGINE these words coming out of some aristocrat’s mouth can’t you? I’m pretty sure they got the gist of the stuff at any rate.

As for the comments on Kate wanting to talk about politics, I understood this more to mean that like, she’s annoyed at Meghan for being “woke”, and being able to express her progressive opinions, while she, someone who probably shares the same conservatism as her husband and mother, probably scoffs at those opinions, and the earnestness with which Meghan expresses them. I read this as more like, “Well, I can have political opinions TOO Meghan, we all CAN, you’re not SPECIAL, I just can’t say my opinions out LOUD okay, bc you wouldn’t KNOW THEM, they go to a different school up in Canada.”

The giveaway is in the fact that Kate “likes a good debate”. I imagine she wants to go out in public and scoff at Meghan’s opinions and put them down as being worthless and unimportant, but can’t, bc a) that’s political, and b) that’s petty and rude. But yeah Waity, go ahead and tell us aaaaaaaaaaall about your tradwife opinions, why don’t you? How motherhood is your “most precious commodity” and what not. Add some fake white woman tears to go with it too, you lying snake-ass b-tch. It worked sooooo well for you last time, didn’t it? You can always pull out the crying card when you start losing your debate, and get your feelings all hurt.

    Stay ashy.

Kate was taught by Carole to play “the long game”. She will put up with absolutely anything to get that position next to William on their “thrones” with that Crown on her head. Just sickening that someone can sink so low for family ambition

Middleton looks like a corpse in that picture

  51. what's inside says:

This is a woman who has no idea of who she is other than what she is told who to be, how to be, and when to be. Her face shows who she is and what she will be in the future – withered on the vine. William married someone he could control and who would never ever challenge him.

  52. liri says:

I know it’s star but I’d guess the part of Meghan taking Harry away was true. At first maybe Kate was happy that another non-royal entered the fold and took interest. She thought she’d always be queen be but then it all changed. Maybe even Meghan felt that Kate is hanging too much on Harry and stopped it.
