I ❤️ Braden’s POV but Skye still annoys me! He has the patience of Job… 🙄

It is such a wild ride with Skye and Braden. He is controlling and insightful, always knowing what she needs before she knows it. He understands her perfectly and tries to protect her, which is how he shows his love.
She is not my favorite person, to be honest. She wants to control everything and argues every point. She tries to manipulate him and will not leave closed subjects alone. It can be exhausting to learn to trust with your being and not just with your mouth, but she is slowly getting there.
I love reading the dual points of view. Hardt has separated them for us as different stories and Under shows us so much of Braden’s heart, passion, and patience for Skye. It is steamy, with touches of erotica, and insightful. A delicious addition to the series.
Hardt is a master building that heat and passion so perfectly!! Love it!

I absolutely loved getting Braden's POV on the events that happened in Follow Me Under. This story lets us know EVERYTHING that was going on in his mind when they unfolded and I will say that things are rather interesting where he's concerned.
Skye and Braden are still navigating their way around their new relationship. There are issues with Braden not wanting to talk about certain events of his past and since part of that past is always popping up, it makes things difficult for Skye. The chemistry is great between the two and it only gets better as they embark on a new journey in their sexual relationship.
This was almost a five star read for me but I felt at times the story was a bit choppy at the beginning, not sure why this happened since Follow Me Under flowed nicely. But overall it was a great read.
This series must be read in the order of release otherwise the story will not make sense to you since this book picks up right where DARKLY left off, this book also leaves you with a cliffhanger.

Under by Helen Hardt continues Braden Black's perspective in the
Follow Me
series following his own book, Darkly. I would not recommend reading the series out of order because you will be missing out on a chunk of the story, character progression, and romance between the two main characters. I have to admit that I had mixed feelings starting this book because of my last experience with Braden and Skye in Follow Me Always. However, I wanted to know what Braden was thinking because I remember being incredibly frustrated with him in Follow Me Under. He kept asking for Skye's trust but refused to talk about his past and even gave her an ultimatum—let it go or lose him forever. I like that we're given more insight as to why Braden hated talking about his past with Addison and wanted to move on. He was in love with Skye but she was too curious for her own good.
There is no denying the fact that Braden and Skye's relationship has always been explosive and they continue to burn up the pages in this latest installment. Nevertheless, this couple has always been a rollercoaster of emotions for me because of the way they covet and need control. It was like watching two sides fight each other for dominance, which left me frustrated because he expected so much from the woman he loves but was not willing to give parts of himself to her. I thought it was also interesting that even though he wanted to shower her with love and care for her, Braden would often steel himself from doing so because of his own insecurities and wanting to control everything. It did help soften my feelings towards him because I initially thought he was so cruel to Skye in her own book.
In the end, this book was a fascinating revelation behind the mystery and man that is Braden Black. He is certainly more than meets the eye and I liked seeing that he had his own internal struggles to contend with. I initially doubted his love for Skye but it seems like he loved her more than I thought and thought she was so beautiful despite her thinking otherwise. She constantly tested his control and made him so angry but he still wanted to be with her. I am very happy and appreciative of the fact that Helen Hardt has decided to give us Braden's perspective in his story with Skye because I would have always wondered what he was thinking during their tumultuous relationship. I recommend this book to those who like reading the dark billionaire romance trope with a possessive and controlling hero who struggles to love his sweet and curious heroine.

Under, the companion book to Follow Me Under, is told from Braden Black's POV. Just like Follow Me Under, this is hot, intense, and all-consuming from page one right through to the last page. Helen delivers an outstanding, addictive and hot-as-hell read that I couldn't put down!

The best proof of love is trust...

This is the Follow Me Under told from Braden's POV, this book will consume you, will drag you under the other side of the story, you will now understand his struggles, what he was going through and what made him fall for Skye. His past wasn't easy, he has that dark side that never shares, yet hard limits come in the way and make walls crumble. Such an amazing rollercoaster emotional ride, full of steam and a plot that will have you reading non-stop. You don't want to miss this side of the story.

Under is Book 5 in Helen Hardt's Follow Me Series. It's the second book in Braden Black's POV of the events of Follow Me Under.
Under starts out from where Darkly left off. Skye and Braden finally made their relationship official. They also admitted to each other they Love one another.
Their relationship struggles and hurdles are far from over though. With Skye's new career as an Influencer starting to take off and Braden’s Business with all its chaos. Their relationship is fragile. Add in the spiteful, annoying, and crazy jealous Addison Ames and they're having a rocky time of things.
Braden struggles with his decision to break his rule if having relationships even though He is truly and madly in LOVE with Skye. He's bound to do whatever it takes to prove he loves her and she can trust him. After all "Love is always worth another chance."
Skye is struggling with seeing herself as Braden sees her. She's struggling with the outside interference of Addison and she doubts herself because of her. She questions Braden about his past and he's been upfront about its something he never talks about. Their relationship is teetering and even though she loves him and says she trusts him, she's still uncertain.
Braden wants to show Skye so much. He wants to show her his darker side and see if she's ready to explore all the things he craves and what she desires.

I really cannot get enough of these series. And even though I have read this story through Skye's POV, it is like reading for the first time with Braden. My goodness. I can't get enough of that man. His emotions that he fights with rips through me. You go through the emotional ride that he experience. Skye tested my limits but these two have a long road ahead.
Under is scorching hot and the chemistry was palpable. You could feel the heat through the pages. You do not want to miss out and I can not wait for more!!!

This is book five of the Follow Me series- and I really enjoyed getting to see more of Braden. In other installments he has at times come off as cold or detached, but a glimpse into his head had me really enjoying the character more.
Skye, on the other hand, is not my favorite character. She goes back and forth between complying with his every whim and then fighting him. I’m hoping with time and character development that I’ll enjoy her more.
Overall- really am enjoying the series and the SPICE! Ohmylanta- you best believe you’ll clutch them pearls.

Under is told from Braden’s POV and it’s another addicting spicy page turner delivered from this author! I am so obsessed with these two characters I couldn’t stop reading it completely consumed me from beginning till end it’s hot intense and so addictive this is another five star masterpiece from Helen Hardt!

UNDER by Helen Hardt is book 5 in the Follow Me Series. This continues the story of Skye Manning and Braden Black. So, you will need to have read the previous books to fully enjoy this one. In addition this one does leave us with a cliffhanger setting us up for more in their story. This series and book have been a page turning read. If you have read Ms. Hardt work before then you know you are getting a really good series. I can't wait for more from this author and series.

Thank you NetGalley, Entangled Publishing, and Helen Heart for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
While I love Helen Hardt’s writing, I’m not sure this one did it for me and I really hate to say that. I felt without the spice in this book, not only would the plot have made no sense, but there would be no book. While I understand this genre is heavy on the spice, it just felt like that was the only thing holding this book together.
I understand the purpose of Braden’s point of view and I appreciate it, but it made me really dislike him as a character. He is beyond controlling (even self admitted) and I found it difficult to find any redeeming qualities in him.
For Skye, she is such a sweet and happy girl and the fact that she’s just willing to give Braden literally every part of her even scares him in the end and it just made me feel uncomfortable.
While I’ve read other series by Helen that I’ve loved and adored, I just don’t think this one is for me unfortunately.
Again, I greatly appreciate the opportunity to read this ARC, but unfortunately I would not recommend it.

Have you ever wanted to get into the mind of someone you have fantasies about? Wanted to know how they thought, what they were thinking? Well I sure have, and with Braden Black.
Under is Follow Me Under book two in the series, but from Braden’s point of view. We get everything, and by everything, I truly do mean everything. Under continues from where Darkley left off, the couple is now official and have admitted to each other that they love one another.

We get more of his past and his reasons for his hard limits, Skye continues to push through limits, out of love, but still a push. All Braden wants is Skye’s trust, but there is always something. The book as a whole is so intense, there is just more of everything. More turmoil, more chemistry, more sexyiness, more angst. MORE. I have loved reading this series, but getting Braden’s POV was something I didn’t even know I was missing, but something I will always go back for a reread. Number 5 in the "Follow me" series and this one told from Braden's POV from "Follow me under"
Love Braden and Skye and I couldn't read this fast enough. Still Loving these characters, the chemistry between them and their story.
This book is like being inside his complicated and intense head. Definitely leaves you wanting more, so I'll be patiently waiting for the next book. This is book 5 in the Follow Me series. It is in Braden's point of view and companion to Follow Me Under which is in Skye's point of view.
Skye and Braden continue navigating through their new relationship. Skye's influencer job continues to grow as she acquires new contracts. Skye also learns things about Braden that intrigue her but is unfortunately left hanging when he won't answer a particular set of questions.
Opinion
This book, since it is in Braden's point of view, answers so many questions. I was a bit shocked at what had happened. However, it makes a lot of the story make so much sense. What is divulged really does help to define his character.
This book, like the others, has pretty intense scenes that are not for anyone under 18. The scenes are well written (as I've come to expect them to be with Hardt.) For those of you who like closed doors in your romances, you can obviously skip the intimate parts. Fair warning though, each scene may take a few chapters.
It had been a while since I read the last book. I was able to quickly come back to what was going on. While there isn't a lot of recapping the story, I felt like the story was distinct enough that it was an easy recall.
I think this is my favorite series of hers which considering how much I love the Steel Brothers series, that says a lot. Hardt has a way with writing dark romances that just draws the reader in.

Under tells self made billionaire’s Braden’s point of view of the events in Follow Me Under and I have to start by saying I love how this author tells the story from the hero and heroine’s sides in alternating books, its interesting to read the same story from a different angle and gives a whole new perspective on things. Personally though I found Braden to be a little too overbearing in this book. Skye is willing to cede control in the bedroom which is understandable. It’s the whole crux of their relationship and Braden is definitely the more experienced one but it seems like its not enough for him and he’s pushing for control in all aspects of her life even though he doesn’t seem to consider her work as important . He tells her he has one hard limit but refuses to say what it is which just makes her push harder. Just tell her Braden instead of forbidding her to talk – if you knew anything about women you’d know we won’t just drop it!!!
When it comes to steam factor the chemistry between these two is a definite ten especially now as things are getting darker and they begin to explore Skye’s fascination with bondage and Helen Hardt has done a fantastic job developing this side of their relationship. Its just a pity the same cant be said for the rest of their life together. They love each other but Braden doesn’t believe that Skye trusts him. He needs to take a look at himself in the mirror as to my mind he doesn’t seem to trust Skye either and has no respect for her. I’m intrigued to see where this story goes next.

Braden Black is back!!!
If you've been reading or read Helen Hardt's Under series then you'll know that UNDER is the second book told from Braden Black's POV. I'm really loving getting Braden's view on his relationship with Skye Manning, and everything else that was happening in his life. This man was an enigma in the earlier books, but now the intrigue and mystery surrounding him are beginning to be displayed. Braden is a much more interesting man than I first thought. He is a man who likes to be in control of all aspects of his life, including Skye, yet she challenges him in ways he never expected. She wants to know all his secrets, but he is not willing to talk about one aspect of his past which does cause issues between Braden and Skye.
UNDER only made me fall for Braden even harder than I previously had. He may not say much, but when he does you definitely want to listen because Braden does not waste his words. Braden's past is beginning to catch up with him, and seeing how he coped was the one thing I was really looking forward to, and Ms. Hardt did not disappoint. Heat, passion, suspense, mystery, and intrigue, UNDER has it all. This is a story that has held me totally captivated.

Under showed a great parallel between Follow Me Under’s events but this time in our favorite CEO, Braden Black’s, perspective. I never knew how much I could appreciate a guy’s perspective in reading books like this until reading Under! The book made me know why Braden had to keep a big secret from his love, Skye, and how hard it was to live with that secret always, 24/7. The book also made me feel the frustration, joys, excitements, and anger that Braden felt which was such a great experience. Yes, that’s what I would call it. This book was an experience! The highs, lows, and cliffhanger… I don’t think I can wait for the next book! To summarize, you *need* to get this book, it’s worth your time, believe me. :)

I knew reading this installment through Braden's POV would be epic and I was not mistaken! Of course, there was Skye. The woman wants answers and is curious, afraid, excited and all of the above. She wants Braden, but she doesn't want to let go of control. But she needs to surrender her control so she could have Braden. And round and round we go.
*sigh* Braden. I love him. I always thought that he was being judged judged because he is direct and honest. He may be a man of few words, but what he says, he means. Which is why I still don't understand why Skye insists on pushing him about his past?! He has been honest with her and very clear on what he needs and what he wants of Skye--FROM THE START--so her acting out in this installment frustrated me to no end. IDK, I still find her immature and selfish. But I'm also invested and seeing this "relationship" through 'til the end.
Anyhow, I loved Braden in this book very, very much. Having this installment told from his POV was such a treat for me and can't wait to read more about him.
All in all, a sizzling read with a dark, brooding male and a woman who hasn't learned to read the room.😏

I am loving Braden’s POV in this companion book to Follow Me Under. This story made me realize just how much he is in love with Skye. Seeing it all through Braden’s mind you now know he is constantly thinking about her, wanting to not only control and command her, but also to please her, in every way. Her happiness is his goal.

Braden’s POV of events from previous books; 3.5 stars for irritation
I wish I could say I enjoyed this book. The last book in Braden’s POV was great. This story overlaps parts of “Follow Me Under” and “Follow Me Always.” However, in this book I can only see Braden and Skye as spoiled and self-centered characters and it ends on a low note which is odd since we already had the HEA in “Follow Me Always.” The intimate scenes are off-the-charts sensuous and numerous. Highly descriptive word pictures.
I was irritated because this is a rehash of a story that I thought already ended beautifully in “Follow Me Always.” Honestly, in the beginning I wasn’t aware that I was going back in time until a few events occurred and I thought I remembered them from past books. Irritated that it strains incredulity that we should accept that Skye has no idea about the BDSM lifestyle when you know her voracious inquisitiveness would have sent her to research at least enough to know what “scene” meant. Irritated that Skye can’t keep herself from badgering Braden and he won’t admit the full extent of his feelings for Skye. The last two irritations were part of the plot in previous books but more believable than this rehash. I’m sorry. This was a well-written and edited romance but this book is superfluous in this series.

Under continues the Follow Me series with Braden’s POV. We finally learn Braden’s innermost thoughts and feelings about Skye and why he must be in control of everything. This insight into his character was crucial for me in order to feel more connected to both characters.

Braden’s love for Skye is obvious throughout the story. He has never felt this way about anyone, but he doesn’t know how to express those feelings and retain his control. He can’t understand why his refusal to talk about his past is an issue and it causes problems in his relationship with Skye. She’s insecure and this makes her even less confident in herself.

Helen Hardt can write stories that never fail to captivate me fully, and I know to never start one of her books before bed because there will be no sleep until every last page is devoured, and Under is no exception. This book was seriously HOT HOT HOT, and while both Braden & Skye drove me up the wall at different times, I still cheered them on. They have a new relationship, and it wasn't easy especially since he didn't communicate as well as he could have since he holds his secrets close to the vest, so the push & pull could be frustrating at times. I could certainly relate to their battles for control, because that's how my relationships in the past were since I'm a control freak. The good news is this is from Braden's POV so I really got to see that there's more to this man than meets the eye as I wasn't sure how I truly felt about him in Skye's book. Anyway, this author is an automatic one click for me & I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Yet another great series and books from Helen; I truly can never get enough of her books. I think this book gives you everything you could ask for, including that intense emotional roller coaster, and keeps you wanting more with each turn of the page. I really like that she has put it in Braden's POV it allows us to now see what they both were thinking or feeling during that time. It paints a whole other view of their relationship. I recommend this book and series, and yes, you should read this mainly in order.
