人類夜裡可以換個散步地方，但螢火蟲無處可去！
Humans can change places to walk at night, but fireflies have nowhere to go!
近來，市民頻頻發現澳門政府在澳門山林的各項工程影響了生態環境。其中，正在大潭山步行徑即將開始的路燈工程，會威脅澳門在該處生活的僅剩不多的螢火蟲。
Recently, citizens have frequently discovered that various projects of the Macau government in the forests of Macau have affected the ecological environment. Among them, the street lighting project that is about to start on the Taipa Grande walking trail will threaten the few remaining fireflies in Macau.
根據澳門昆蟲學會的研究，大潭山是澳門能觀察到螢火蟲並拍攝到「螢軌」的少數地區之一。路燈的光線使螢火蟲誤認為是同類所發出的光源，從而耽誤牠們的交配繁殖，影響該區螢火蟲物種的存活。
According to research conducted by the Entomological Society of Macau, Taipa Grande is one of the few areas in Macau where fireflies can be observed and the "firefly track" can be photographed. Streetlights can mislead fireflies as the light source of the same kind, which hinder their mating and reproduction and affect the survival of the firefly species in this area.
螢火蟲在生態上是一種指標，證明該地區的空氣、土壤、水源和光照環境都是未受污染的，而且螢火蟲會以蝸牛作為食物，一旦滅絕，蝸牛數量將會激增，導致大量植物及幼芽被損害，恐造成本澳生態鏈的破壞。
Fireflies are an ecological indicator that proves that the air, soil, water and light environment in the area are not polluted. As fireflies feed on snails, their extinction will result in a sharp increase of the number of snails, which leads to the damage to numerous plants and young shoots. And this may cause serious damage to the ecological chain of Macao.

故我們發起是次連署，呼籲澳門政府停止大潭山上的路燈工程，以及其他郊野和山林裡的工程都應事先邀請本地專家進行環評。
Therefore, we initiate this petition to call on the Macau government to: 1. stop the streetlight project on Taipa Grande; 2. Any project involving countryside and forests should invite local experts to conduct environmental assessments in advance.
