Woodrow Wilson

Thomas Woodrow Wilson, 1856 - 1924, was born in in Virginia and became president of Princeton University, Governor, and then President of the United States. He led the nation into World War I in April 1917. Pictured: Here Wilson addresses a joint session of Congress April 2, 1917, urging a declaration of war existed. The proclamation was issued April 7 following votes in Congress.

David T. Wilentz: David Theodore Wilentz, 1894 - 1988, was a lawyer, politician, and attorney general who gained national attention in 1939 as the prosecutor of Bruno Hauptmann for the kidnapping and murder of 20-month-old Charles A. Lindbergh, Jr., son of the world famous aviator. Hauptmann was convicted on Feb. 14, 1935, and was electrocuted a year later. David Wilentz was the father of Robert Wilentz, the longest serving Chief Justice of the state Supreme Court. The family lived in Perth Amboy.

William Paterson University: William Paterson University started in 1859 as Paterson City Normal School.

Willingboro: The 7.6 square mile town of Willingboro, in Burlington County, was the ancestral home of the Lenape Indians.
