Abstract
The purpose of this book is to examine the relationship between sexology and theories of sexuality in a historical perspective. In particular, it aims to identify the components and dimensions of theories of sexuality that underpinned and nourished the different forms of sexology that appeared from the end of the nineteenth century, and to consider the various ways they are related.
