The 2021 Good Neighbor Award will recognize a Realtor® member who makes a positive impact on their community through their volunteer involvement with an organization.  This annual award seeks to highlight the individual(s) within the real estate community who give so much of their time and talents to organizations that seek to improve the lives of those living in our great state of Minnesota.

We are asking you to nominate yourself or someone you know for this award.  The recipient will receive a $1,000 one-time award to the 501(c)3 non-profit with which the Minnesota Good Neighbor is involved.

1. Nominees must be members of NAR, Minnesota REALTORS and their local association of REALTORS.
2. Nominees should have contributed to a program that improves the livability of a community.  Those activites aren't limited to real estate or housing issues.
3.  Nominees should have made a significant contribution of personal time; however, contributions of money, in kind donations, or other resources will be considered by the panel of evaluators as well.
4.  Nominees will be evaluated on level of personal contribution, impact of personal contriubtion, broadness of impact, and the project's suitability as a role model for other REALTORS.
5.  The award is intended to recognize individual contributions, not association-or-company-wide efforts.  However, if an individual can be singled out as instrumental to the success of a group effort, he or she is eligible.  If the achievements of two people (such as a married couple or co-founders of an organization) abosolutely cannot be separated, they can enter as a pair and their entry will be considered as one.
6.  Some portion of the nominee's community work must have taken place during the time period indicated, the panel of evaluators will also consider ongoing efforts outside that time frame that demonstrate a depth of commitment.
7.  Nominees should be able to document the results of their individual involvement through published reports and/or testimonials from the organization they served or the people they helped.
8.  Nomination must be accompanied by a completed entry form to be considered.
9.  REALTORS may nominate themselves or may be nominated by someone else, such as another NAR member, a state or local association, or the community organization they served.
10.  Grant awards will only be issued to a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

Finalists will be announced in October 2021.
