So, if you are thinking to get admission to PGDM you should choose a college from Pune because those colleges are specifically oriented to get their students good jobs. Once you get an interview with a prestigious company, it depends on how well you can do in the interview.

Here are a few tips that can help you crack an interview and get a job with the company of your dreams -

1. Do your best in your studies

If you want to crack any interview, our best tip would be that you start to focus on studies from the very first day of your class as you enter the college. This means when you are sitting in an interview you must have good grades that would impress the employers and the interview will start on good terms. Also, good grades will project that you have been sincere throughout your college life which would also imply that you will turn out to be a dedicated employee for their company.

2. Participate in extra activities

To make your CV extra special, participate in any extra activity of your interest. In college, several committees organize different kinds of sports and recreational events. You can be a part of any competition or event that interests you. This way you can mention in your certificate the extra curriculum that you have participated in during the study time.

3. Develop good communication skills

Many students even after having a very good CV based on good grades and extra curriculum activities still somehow manage to mess up things with the interviewer just because they don't know how to express themselves well in front of the people who conduct the interview. So you must work on your communication skills to leave a good impression on the interviewer. Good communication skills will help you throughout your life in general too.

4. Increase your confidence level

Everything looks good until a few people enter the interview room. This means that if you do not appear confident in front of the people who are conducting interviews then there might be a big chance that you won't get the job. The employers are looking for people with all-round personality which includes high confidence level. You can learn to be confident by practicing doing things that are out of your comfort zone. Like communication skills, the confidence level can be developed slowly over some time.

5. Practice interviews

Make use of Google and search for the techniques on cracking the interviews. In the age of technology, it is very easy to use the internet and find out articles, blogs, videos, and podcasts that help a person to understand how one can do their best in the interview. So do not just rely on your resume and interpersonal skills but if you practice interviews then you will have more chances of getting a job than a person who does not have any practice.
