9:30 to 10:20 a.m. - Examining Library Patron Services & Outreach: The UNC Pembroke Experience Presenter: David Young As a direct result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Livermore Library @ UNC Pembroke has endeavored to revise services, develop a more “user friendly” website, and create several “how-to” videos to assist students in understanding specific library resources, including the search engine ExLibris Primo, as well as their electronic databases. Learn how they took stock of current services in order to "envision the future."

9:30 to 10:20 a.m. - Sustainability and Programming Presenter: Kayla Kuni At the beginning of online-only engagement, students gravitated to one program in particular: a discussion about Earth Day. In response, a reading series about sustainability was developed last summer and instituted over this past academic year. Discover how they planned and promoted the program, how they chose content, and what lead to the changes planned for this year's endeavor.

9:30 to 10:20 a.m. - Going Digital Under Pressure Presenter: Adam Branscum How do you reach patrons who can no longer come to the library or even leave their homes? Since so many people have electronic devices available, it makes sense to take advantage of that resource, but it's a challenge to transition traditional library programs and services to the digital world. This session explores tried and true methods for taking the challenge and successfully meeting patrons' needs.

11 to 11:30 a.m. - Centennial Committee Presentation Presenters: Camille McCutcheon & Gordon Baker

2 to 2:50 p.m. - The Semester of Kindness: A Library Program Encouraging Empathy on a University Campus Presenter: Stephanie Ard & Liz Finamore After the positive atmosphere created by the Marx Library Public Relations committee's Semester of Kindness activities, they reimagined what they learned about encouraging compassion toward others into the Spring of Connection. The lessons learned will influence future programs throughout the South Alabama community.
