Hello, my name is Joni. I retired teaching 2nd grade and now have a part-time business helping young children learn tools to manage their emotions. I'm also a professional singer and have been soloist at a church in my community for over 30 years.
Before meeting Sheila, I had taken classes through my church to help me process grief after my 90-year-old mom died a year ago. The classes helped, but I still felt stuck and powerless with fear about how to move forward. A friend recommended Sheila and I felt comfortable and at ease from our first meeting over Zoom. One of my goals was to work through my anxiety concerning my health and be able to return to teaching in the classroom setting. The stress of my mom's passing had caused an arthritis flare-up that would not resolve. With Sheila's coaching, encouragement, and support, I no longer experience that anxiety, and I'm physically able to keep my teaching commitments even though I still experience arthritis.
During one of our meetings, Sheila recommended a book for me entitled "Boundary Boss" by Terri Cole. Reading that book and sharing ideas with her has helped me learn to listen to my intuition and set boundaries with friends, family, and people in my professional life. This is a major shift in how I respond to others. Now I'm able to make choices that are good for me even though other might be disappointed. This has been a struggle for me before being coached by Sheila.
Not only is she an excellent coach, Sheila also shares the intuitive messages she receives. I appreciated knowing that my mom wanted to help me and was sending me signs. And when I spoke about family members, Sheila would ask if she could share what she was receiving. I'm open to our spiritual nature and found her intuitive abilities an important part of her coaching.
My plan is to continue working with her after the first of the year, and if anyone needs help moving forward and making positive changes in their life, I will not hesitate to refer them to Sheila!
