There are two sides to my fundraising. Firstly, I am fundraising for a conservation expedition to Borneo where I will work on projects that help improve the lives of local communities, while also learning about orangutan conservation.

During this life-changing expedition (Summer 2023), I will join a Camps International team, helping to tackle some of the world’s most critical global issues. I will be working with a local NGO on a recycling programme which gives the local people a place to recycle plastic waste so that it doesn’t end up on the beaches or in the ocean. We will be experiencing a range of work that helps those less fortunate than ourselves, which will be a great privilege.

In addition, half of the money that I raise will go to a local Exmouth mental health support organisation, called RV-One. Its amazing team of volunteer fitness instructors help people, who may have experienced a range of physical and mental health issues, to thrive and to enjoy being outdoors; keeping themselves active and making friends along the way.

To raise money, I am doing a ‘30 Miler Commando Challenge’, with the goal of running at least a mile a day for thirty days in October 2022.
