The Lightfoot Days Pop-Up Festival, from November 3-5, opens with the memory-provoking music of Classic Lightfoot Live! From 2016, journalist John Swartz writes about his experience of the tribute band to which Gordon gave his blessing: "Eric Kidd is playing lead guitar. His affinity for Gord's music is natural; his guitar teacher was Red Shea. Steve Eyers is playing bass. His ability to get inside a tune Gord wrote comes from growing up with it; he's Gord's nephew. John's (Stinson) voice is too much like Gord's in tone. Add an ability to phrase like Gord and other vocal idiosyncrasies and he sounds just like the voice on all the records. He doesn't appear to be trying too hard to be a Memorex machine; it's more natural. With your eyes closed, you'd think you were in the room with Gord" On that day Gord was in the room, clearly enjoying the performance.

Come for the concert, stay for the weekend that will include; never-before-seen interviews of Gordon from his St. Paul’s United Church connection; some of the amazing art display of Streets Alive Productions focused on Gord’s music; restaurants and stores with live music; a community celebration with a commemorative cake honouring his birthday; Sunday service at the church where ‘it all began’, focused on Lightfoot Days; and hopefully a bus tour highlighting key locations with connections to Gordon.
